Got "into it" with his own coach after a big win? Doing something to taunt someone from UC and his coach got on him?

Sorry Macura and Cronin got into it and Mack let it be known there was a reason Cronin got a technical in the game...2 side to every story he said

Ohio State just murdered Wisconsin on the road yesterday. Treated them worse than Northeastern and the other no-names on their schedule. Even with their inability to hold leads in non-conference games, they could still finish in the top half of the B1G because the league looks a good bit down this year.

So, he's gonna home-college his boy, like he's home-schooling the youngest one? Since he does know more about NBA coaching than Walton, high school coaching than the dude at Chino Hills and, now, more about college stuff than Alfred.
If not, I can only imagine the demand for Gelo, being that he's not considered a Lonzo-like talent. You not only will get him, a player dumb enough to shoplift on a team trip to another country, but you'll also get the Lavar train undermining your coach at every turn over everything from discipline to who gets what playing time and takes shots and so forth.

I would argue not even a steal since he got caught....

I guess it'd be the off-court version of getting a steal and then immediately picking up your fifth foul for a charge while trying to score.

Not saying I'm bitter or anything, but Jaaron Simmons could have finished his college career at Ohio U after two straight seasons averaging between 15-16 PPG, which if he had done, OU would have to be one of the favorites to win the conference. Instead he grad-transferred to Michigan, where he defines non-factor, scoring 1.3 and playing 10 minutes a game (most of which have come against chumps; only played 4 worthless minutes stat-wise in their OT win over UCLA today), while Ohio looks to define MAC mediocrity. Good job, bro!

Yeah there's a few HS players from around here who have done similar things. Instead of going to a MAC school, they sat on the bench at a Big 10 school for four years. Stupid as hell if you ask me

Grad transfer, would he even be eligible to play at OU? If not, should have just stayed in the draft. Wouldn't have been drafted but wouldn't have hurt his pro chances(stateside or overseas) either.

Zuh? When you're a grad transfer, it means you have athletic eligibility left, but have graduated academically, so you can transfer if you want without having to sit out a year. In Simmon's case, he was a freshman at Houston, then transferred to Ohio, sat out a year via transfer rules and then played the last two (soph/jr athletically; jr/sr academically). Since he'd graduated, but had one year of athletic eligibility left, he transferred to a bigger school, likely looking for more exposure. Have no idea how there'd be a situation where he wasn't eligible to play at Ohio, but could play elsewhere collegiately (barring being kicked off the team, of course, which didn't happen).

As a Grad Transfer you can leave and play right away or simply stay.
Now, you have to pick a program that is offered, so if you legit want a program for schooling purposes and not just to further your basketball career, you may not be able to stay at current school as it may not be offered. But I doubt that's the case

This is what I was referring to. Maybe questioning his eligibility at OU, wasn't the correct way to put it.
