Won't be surprised at all if Top Gun wins the award for Cinematography. Outstanding.

It’s 100% accurate. Their company culture from the top down was twisted. Cult-like.

I worked at the first Columbus Ruehl location in college. That was their higher end store/brand that eventually bombed.

Watched Sandler’s recent Netflix movie, Hustle. I enjoyed it.

Haha My realtor and wife’s mentor helped start Ruehl. He did much better starting Eloquii a plus size women's brand though.

We watched Top Gun last night. It was better than I remembered, I probably hadn't seen it in 30 years.

Just wait till you see the new one. Which is (at least) twice as good as original.

Maverick

10/10

What a damn awesome movie. It’s rare to have anything these days that pretty much everyone loves and no one complains about. Maverick is easily on that list.

My favorite movie in a long time. And when they announced it I rolled my eyes. Pretty incredible what Tom and the production team pulled off. It’s so damn good.

Too late…..I’ve heard from probably 75-100 different people about this movie. All in agreement. I’ve not heard a single “eh, wasn’t as good as I hoped or didn’t really like it”

My dad rags on every movie ever, nearly no movie is good (nearly). He, like me, reads a ton of books and just rags on most movies.

He liked the flight scenes in the original Top Gun as he is a big time war history buff and reads every book he can ever find on anything and everything military.

I am going to drag him to the theatre this weekend to see Maverick.

I am going tonight to see Thor Love and Thunder. Will report back later.

Make sure he sees Road House.  Hard to see what’s not to like about that.

For reference I thought Thor Ragnorok was 7/10, very good movie while the first two Thor’s were like 2s or maybe 3s.

Thor Love and Thunder 6.5/10.

It’s even more of a comedy than Ragnorok is, so be ready for that.

Basically if Gorr the God Butcher is on the screen is serious (Bale does this role justice), if he isn’t it’s a comedy movie.

I liked it slightly more than you (7.5/10). Bale does do a good job with Gorr, that man can lift any role. I was pleased that Taika Waititi left some things to be pretty accurate to the source while still trying to tell Thor's story like he wanted to. The reveal at the mid-credit scene was the one moment that made me very very happy.

My daughter and I watched The Mist the other day solely because I wanted her to be scarred by the ending of a movie. 6/10

If you are a horror movie fan, like myself, don't waste your time on the last Halloween installment, "Halloween Ends." Terribly disappointing. If you have to see it, fast forward to the last 15 minutes as you'll fall asleep through the rest of it.

It cannot be worse than Kills.

And after the 2018 installment totally owned, this is disappointing

It's worse. It's like the Friday the 13th where Jason was actually the paramedic whose son got killed or Halloween 3 Season of the Witch bad.
