Besides football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, etc., what are some niche sports you follow and why?

Mine are:

  • Greco-Roman wrestling college and HS. I enjoy it because I participated back in my school days and I appreciate the work it requires.
  • Pro cycling. I never participated in the sport, but I enjoy it because of the work it requires and the team aspect

Is tennis niche? I follow it very closely. Watch parts of almost every 500 and 1000 and follow all scores. Will watch the 250s also, if an American is playing or its got a great matchup.

I don't seek them out, but I will watch wrestling or rugby if they're on.

Formula 1.

Been following it since the late 90s when the Schumacher domination at Ferrari started.  That era of F1 is still my favorite with the huge V10s.

The recent success of Drive to Survive and a whole new wave of fans is great to me.

Side note, the new F1 movie is awesome.

NASCAR.

Random ones on tv I’ll watch cornhole and pickleball occasionally.

I'll watch the Big 4 horse racing events, if I happen to remember.

Main thing I watch is the TdF.  I enjoy watching the scenery as much as anything

Looking forward to the Tour in a week. I enjoy the scenery, the closeness of the spectators, the effort it must require...it's a fun event to follow.
