If they are going to rule first downs like they did on the 4th down overturn, be ready for players to launch just before they go OB 7' short aiming for a point 5' wide of the line to gain and go a foot past it before any body part comes down OB and expect a first down. Then the next thing to expect is the defenders will have to hit them out of bounds to keep from making the line to gain, and then the ball carriers will want personal fouls called for hitting them OB.

2 excellent games. Big Ten had the 2 best teams this season, and both lost in the semis. Expansion is going to be awesome.

posted by mhs95_06Two critical incidents that were key that I'm not hearing anything about on the post game. One was where they overruled the call on the field of GA being short of the line to gain at the 10 yard line on 4th down. I am wondering if the NCAA and NFL rules differ on a play like that. The 2nd was when Smart called time out barely ahead of a fake punt that would have given the Buckeyes a 1st down and would have really put a big hurt into the GA chances.
I'm not sure whether a few important calls were right or wrong, but they all managed to favor Georgia.

That hit on Harrison may or may not have been targeting. But it was a cheap shot for sure.

After a few hours to recover, I have to say I’m proud of the Buckeyes. To finish the game without 5 of their top offensive players, lead the clear #1 team all night and come within a FG of winning was pretty darn good compared to how things looked after getting throttled in the 2nd half by Michigan.
I’m really glad CJ finished with a game like this and I hope it helps his draft stock.
Happy New Year and Go Bucks!

Good fight from OSU. Targeting call should have at LEAST been a flag. That was a game changer.
I won’t blame the loss solely on that. That can go to Jim Knowles. Overhyped. He can be gone.

USC up 15 with 4:30 left and going to lose lol
TD by Tulane, kickoff returner loses ball out of bounds at 2 and Lincoln Riley has Williams in shotgun instead of under center…Williams hands off and RB swarmed 3 yards deep…Mr Heisman could’ve kept it to bail out his coach.
Then Tulane on 30 with 17 seconds left and USC sucked

Welp…final rankings will have 3 Big 10 teams in the top 7, and no PAC 12

While expansion will let in more frauds and teams not truly at the elite level, it should weed them out by the semis and surely the championship.
We will get blowouts all over the opening round, maybe even last 8. But the final 4 and title game should be the best of the best each year (even if it’s a 2 loss Bama).
Will also allow for a team like TCU to prove people wrong and make a run. Just hope it’s like March and those teams get ousted before the E8 lol.

Increasing the field will likely assure opening round blowouts not only because of the disparity between 1 and 8 but also some of the top talent of those fringe teams possibly passing on playing in this tournament to prep for the NFL Draft.

Maybe I am out of touch -- but I dont see a single player passing on a chance for a Natty. Even if it is a slim chance their team wins 3 in a row.

If I play for Washington (this year's #12) and I'm predicted as a second or third day draft choice, I'm not chasing a natty I know in my heart ain't gonna happen.

No faith in arguably the best QB in the nation to knock off Bama? I get sitting out Bowl games but not playoff games. What happens if they win? You wanna come back the next game or just not gonna be a part of the team for the run?

Yeah, I'm with QCB on this. If you're a lower seed and you think your team could get boat raced, these guys will probably sit out to cash in.

If you are a Round 1 or 2, you are already insanely rich. With the rookie wage, maybe making more already.

Gonna sit out and risk litigation with the $1.5M the car dealership paid you in NIL? To be the 54th pick in the draft? Probably not even make it to a second contract?

Or I could have big games against the best competition….even in defeat could up my stock
