Biggest for me is to finalize buying my grandma's farm and move back to Newark.

Stop being a fat fuck. I turn 40 in April. Plan is to not be so gross. We are also going to Europe on 4/1, big vacation for the four of us (39, 37, 8, 6). My 7 year old is having neuro surgery on 1/6, so we are all kinda fucked up until then,

Get to  or surpass Spanish B1 level.

As for plans, I'm aiming to do 3 months in Argentina in the fall. That should help.

I’m currently at a 294 consecutive days of over 500 calories per day of exercise….I want to make it a full year but also want to get on a workout regimen that incorporates strength training to maintain areas, keep my aerobic endurance I have built up and toss in more stretching or some form of yoga.  Right now I just walk/ jog or jog every single day but I’m weak. I want to lift 3-4x a week, jog/bike/box 3-4x a week and mix in a 1-2 days of yoga type stuff. Maybe not intense but get myself used to a similar regimen and get to where it’s ok to take a day off.

I’ve had 3-5 yards to mow for the last 35+ years….I'm retiring from that but need to replace those side incomes. Might referee or get some made up job with my buddies hugely successful business.

My daughter had  successful neurosurgery on 1/6. It all went well after 3 nights in the hospital. She’s recovering at home so I can opine on y’all’s dumb shit.

Mexico in February

Masters in April

Disney in April

Sister in laws wedding in June

That is as far as we/I have booked this year, so far.

Had World Cup in June but cashed that money in and went to the Big Ten Title Game instead.

I want to go to a World Cup game. I will probably go to Atlanta or Dallas for a game. Prices are crazy now do you think they will drop?

Flying into Munich. My brother is in the army outside of Venice so we’ll be there a couple days. Then in a week we fly out of Paris, so we still need to plan that portion.

Sounds fun let us all know how it is.

I need to plan a big trip for my wife’s 40th. It’s in December but will probably travel in February of next year to celebrate. Maybe Fiji, Thailand or an African Safari.

Turns out that traveling with a 6 year old (at least ours) isn’t fun at all. We did 20k steps a day in Disney last year for 3 days and it seems now she has decided her legs don’t work. We got to Munich on 4/2 at 7am, time change really fd us. Did some stuff, ate some good food, then did a bus tour to Neuschwanstein castle on 4/3. Did a night train to Venice. Hung out with my brother in Vincenza 4/4 and 4/5, went back to Venice on 4/6 and had a solid time. Came to Milan this morning as we make our way towards Paris. Have a train ride to Paris tomorrow and will finish out there until we fly home on 4/12. It’s been a fucking lot (and obviously shouldn’t have booked so many cities but it is what it is).

I’ve done this many times - booked an aggressive itinerary that looks great on paper, but turns out to be extreme to execute. I’m sure you’re getting a lot of good memories, but a trip like that will need some serious recovery time.

We've engaged a lender for financing the farm, and a realtor for listing our house. We rented a storage unit in Newark and have already taken a truck load of stuff up.

It ended up not being too bad. Ha I was frustrated when I wrote that post. That said our train to Paris got f’d and made us get off in Lyon France and then didn’t get to Paris until 11am the next day. We had 3 days in Paris so it was a bit more chill to end the trip. Got to our house at 7:30pm last night, kids back to school and we are back to work. I actually feel fine right now but can feel the energy dwindling. My daughter has practice after school until 7, so pretty much the worst way to recover from a long vacation lol.

Realtor came by last night and got a tour of the house. She had initially comped it a little low because the available pictures were dated. She threw out a listing price and I died a little inside. She said she would re-comp after seeing it in person and just emailed with a listing price I can get behind. Looks like it will be a late May or early June listing.

Comps came back much better, very close to what I had in mind initially. Targeting a May 29th listing date.
