As for plans, I'm aiming to do 3 months in Argentina in the fall. That should help.
I’m a solid A2. Been taking in-person lessons the past few months. B1 in a year was a pipe dream. Didn’t really think that through.

After college I was a solid B2/C1 having minored in Spanish. That was 2002 and I haven't really spoken it with a native Spanish speaker since, I would be surprised If I wasn't an A2/B1 area now.
I can still read it fairly well but speaking and writing would be bad.

Damn, C1 is pretty much fluent.
I took French in high school, had zero interest and that was that. I wish someone would have kicked me in the ass and said just take Spanish and don't stop. It would have been way more manageable in my younger years. I can get by and I'm definitely improving, but I still feel overwhelmed at times.
