Bob Barker, 99

Damnit.

This is one reason I hate opening this thread. He’s one of the greats. About 3 months short of 100

Dang. 

I’m dreading opening this thread and seeing Bob Newhart’s name. 

Barker was a national treasure

Saw Donald Sutherland in a movie that was almost 30 years ago, and I thought "wow, he was pretty old then"....and surprised to discover he's still kickin' at 88.

Someone interviewed one of Barker's friends, a name I hadn't heard in forever - Wink Martindale.  He'll be 90 in December.

I cannot believe Bob Barker lived as close to 100 as possible without going over.

Wonder if Jimmy Carter will make it to 99? His birthday is October 1st and it sounds like he's in hospice.

I thought there was something about a month ago about him checking into the hospital.  Might have even been touring and canceled the show.

He postponed a show here in May and then just a week or 2 ago cancelled it completely. Sucks.

Heard on country summer countdown while traveling he had a medical emergency and his plan to rest and return

Gonna play a lot of his songs outside tonight.

Sorry for her family.  But what a disgrace to have had that woman in the US Senate.  She’s been out of commission for 10+ years.  Horrible

She last voted on....Thursday.  But when someone votes 98% of the time with the party, does it really matter?
