Pens look like toast – too bad.

Canes with a dominating win last night; shots were 45-18; hope they keep it up.

Jackets beating TB three times in a row is amazing; that place was rocking Sunday night.  Need to close it out tonight.

Kid from college who was called up to the Avs yesterday just scored a goal tonight

And ovechkin might have killed a guy

I'm not a Ovechkin fan but just saw the fight that happened and he laid that kid out. Props to him. Typically never see guys like him get into fights.

Wish I could say I was surprised, but they were so up and down during the regular season. Almost like they figured they could turn it on just like that when they needed to, except their stars keep getting older, their defense still turns into a sieve at the worst possible times and they have this bad habit of completely disappearing for long stretches. It ain't over until it's over...but I wouldn't be surprised if it became over tonight.

No matter how you feel about your favorite pro sports team(s) right now, at least you're better off than Las Vegas.

1. Had a 3-1 lead (aka: The Golden State Advantage) over San Jose.

2. Lost two straight to make it 3-3 with last night being game 7.

3. Held 3-0 lead in game with 10 minutes to go.

4. Got a very shaky game misconduct call (full 5 minute penalty, where power play goals don't cause it to end). LV player hit SJ guy with definite high cross check, causing him to recoil into another player, taking another hit, landing hard and winding up bloody and injured. The actual penalized hit didn't look that bad, but it wound up being 5 because of the end result. And, hell, apparently they didn't even call a penalty until seeing how hurt he was.

5. Any of us who follow Pittsburgh know that MAF was a very streaky goalie who could be a stone wall and could also give up goals in a flurry. He did the latter after this, giving up four goals in those five penalty minutes.

6. LV ties it with 2-3 minutes to go and it goes to OT.

7. SJ gets game winner late in the first OT period.

tl;dr -- Team blew 3-1 series lead and wound up losing series after blowing 3-0 game lead due to goalie imploding after ticky-tack 5-minute penalty.

Blue Jackets win 2-1. Bob was fantastic!! The crowd was louder tonight than it was in the Tampa Bay series and I didn't think that was possible.

MVP...period. What a game--the last five minutes was about an intense as it gets...as my son said, it was like the entire third period was a Bruins power play...damn that was fun!

The power play that netted the second goal was near damn perfection. It was constant pressure the whole time, especially the last minute. You could just feel that each time Seth Jones took a shot that someone was going to deflect one in. Bob was amazing too. But, the defense as a whole is the real winner. They have been on it the entire playoffs.

I've been a CBJ since the start and I've watched these playoffs with pure joy. I haven't had this much fun watching a team play since the Tribe's run at the World Series.

Defense is everything. It's why the Anaheim Ducks seemed to always make a run in the post season, solid two way forwards and great defensemen. BlueJackets remind me of those teams

Looking forward to tonight. I’ll be in the building, not sure where my tickets are, I’m meeting up with a friend. Not sure he even knows where the seats are yet. Should be a hell of an atmosphere again.

I'm going to Game 5 on Saturday. Nosebleeds, and I'll get shit-talked all game, but that's been par for the last 2 years.
