ugly game--need to steal one Saturday and then close it out at Nationwide next week...if it goes seven, we're toast

Yup. It’s over if they don’t win tonight. I think they will win game 6 regardless, but game 7 in Boston is not something I want to see.

CBJ will win tomorrow, then lose on Wednesday—good season and taking the next step was huge...now, they need to build on it

Crushing loss for the Pens last night in double OT, after dominating the entire game.   Sad.

Pens have caught fire over the last six weeks; good to see.

Surging Penguins take over first in their division.  Sid gets his 500th goal.

I was in the building last night for 500. place was electric, but it always is for the flyers. DeSmith is a liability but we all know that. I really think they can make a run if they stay healthy. i also think they need to move Geno, it frees up money, lets some of the young bucks get more time on the ice and you might be able to get a piece or two to sure up the defense. the main problem with the pens is they don't have anyone like justin schultz used  to protect the front of the net and get the puck out quick.

Wild playoff game in the Garden last night; Pens 4, Rangers 3 in triple OT.  Pens  starting goalie out injured, DeSmith played great then he left halfway thru second OT with an injury, so they pulled a guy off the bench (not the Zamboni driver) who finished it off with about 16 more saves.  Crazy; players were wiped out.

Think they set some sort of record for attempted shots on goal in the game. The NYR goalie was incredible with some of the saves he had. Didn't believe the winning goal had actually gotten by him until I saw the players heading off the ice.

Canes/Bruins got pretty chippy last night.

Pens looked good last night; how far can they ride a 3rd string goalie?

If the offense continues to put up 7 a game, indefinitely. Gotta say I'm surprised; the entire last month or so of the season, seemed they lost most of their games against playoff-tier opponents and really looked like a team that would be in and out of the postseason quickly. But they seem to have found another level and are looking pretty tough right now.

Any update yet on Crosby; everything turned on a dime in that second period.

Crosby out for tonight.  Look for Trouba to  get whacked.

Apparently I'll be at game 7 tomorrow in Raleigh - Canes v Bruins.

Pens sign Rust to 6 year deal; he no doubt took less money to stay home.

And Colorado. They swept their first-round series and looked untouchable and are up 3-1 in this round.

Taking out Binnington isn't hurting either.

Could be, although I think Tampa v Carolina is going to be great.
