Also stunk last year.

Worst free agent signing in Berry's tenure. Horrible with YAC and several key drops.
They are also bringing back LB Anthony Walker on a 1 year/$5m deal. Not sure what they see in this guy.
CLE has a lot of talent that would be attractive to Watson. But if I'm Watson, the AFC is loaded with elite QB's and I'd much rather go to the NFC.

I think that ATL, who he meets with today, would be his sentimental favorite as he's known the owner a long time and was their ball boy. Issue there is getting out from under Matt Ryans contract, who also has a no trade clause.
Carolina and New Orleans both have new(er) coaching situations although the Saints are more built to win now.
The cold weather in a negative in the Browns favor but they'd likely be the best destination. Not really sure Watson't hunger/desire to win though.
Rumor is that Allen Robinson WR is waiting on Watson's decision to sign. So if Watson comes here he'll have some decent weapons in Cooper, Robinson, DPJ & Njoku
This is an odd situation and very Clevelandesque.
I'm a big fan of Watson the player and I still think he can ball out, but how the hell are you going to "rebuild" the image of a 23 time dong exposer?

As much as Laley's been giving the IDGAF attitude about Watson's discretions it's going to be difficult for me to root for a team that would have this type of player. I've been giving you Steeler fans shit for years about Roethlisberger. I can't just drop my loyalties to this team after (mostly) suffering through 45+ years of them. I didn't drop loyalties to the Cavs when Lebron returned and I really don't like him.
It would also be very Clevelandesque to go all in for a top 10 QB, fail, piss off your current QB, who demands a trade, and then end up with some turd like Mariota. Back to the laughingstock days.
Bengals might rule for the next 5 years. Who would have thought?
Legit Franchise QB give you makeup speed/cheat codes and the Bengals look like they actually know what they're doing (spending money) for once.
It certainly is “Clevelandesque”.
It’s also “shitastic”.
I just dont care about Baker. He sucks, and we arent winning with him.
I also am past my moral highground. I can think Watson is a POS and still cheer for him to help the team win. Whatever. I dont care. Im sick of losing.
Chris Hubbard brought back on a 1 year deal
Browns also added Pro Bowl WR/return specialist Jakeem Grant from the Bears yesterday,
Supposed package the Browns offered for Watson was:
1st Rounders- 3
2nd rounders- 1
Denzel Ward
Nick Chubb
^^^^^ Yikes!
That trade would be shitastic.posted by BR1986FB

Exactly. Would tell me they are going away from a run oriented offense.
BTW, if Watson falls through, which is likely because it sounds like it's down to the Falcons/Saints, Jimmy G is plan B, from what I've heard....BARF
So, assuming Watson doesn’t work out, now the Browns have to try and trade for Jimmy G - who arguably isn’t much of an upgrade over Baker?
Mayfield > Jimmy G minus other assets.
