Saw a quote from a competing front office member that said "For a bunch of Ivy League guys, they never seem to handle things intelligently."

This thing has been botched from both sides. Granted, the Browns supposedly told Mayfield they'd look to upgrade if a stud QB became available. Not good. 

Mayfield's reaction yesterday was one of a petulant child. Ok, you want traded. Ask Berry behind closed doors, not demand it through Adam Schefter. I've been a Baker guy but this tells me even if he were to bounce back he doesn't have the maturity to lead a franchise.

Meanwhile, they're playing with their junk as free agents are getting signed right & left. Bengals, Steelers and Ravens all have made some decent upgrades.

I'm merely saying Matt Ryan hasn't been the Matt Ryan people are thinking of for a few years.  And, he's been significantly better playing in domes.

So, yeah, I don't think he's much of an upgrade to Baker.  That said, I'd love to see CLE sign him!

Sounds like this has been brewing for a while. Guess the Browns have been pissed for some time that every time they'd have a private meeting with Mayfield that the information soon became public through the media.
