I mean that’s true. But why should we be the only franchise with morality (which they don’t even have with Hunt and Jim Brown anyway)??

Personal preference, I guess. I'm not going to quit rooting for the team but this guy gives me the willies (probably would literally if I was female). I can't stand Lebron James (obviously not a sex offender) but I still rooted for the Cavs.

On a different note, I expect Watson to smash the Browns single season passing yards (4032) and TD's (30) records held by Brian Sipe in 1980. Not a very high bar in today's league. I don't expect it in his first year due to the suspensions he'll likely serve.

It’s early, but as long as he pushes out the civil suits, I don’t see how he can be suspended on allegations that didn’t hold up criminally. That said, they structured the deal that if he does get suspended that he loses very little money. He def only signed due to money.

Roethlisberger was never even arrested, much less an attempted indictment...

But you guys keep trying to rationalize your acceptance of an actual serial sexual assaulter.

Does anyone have a link where I can read about all the allegations?

He's going to get suspended because, just like Roethlisberger, he "tarnished the image of the shield (NFL logo)." At a minimum, I expect 6 games, possibly the whole season unless Goodell "credits' him for time served not playing last year (unlikely).

Guess we won’t be seeing as many of the Rapistberger jerseys as years past.  Can’t wait to listen to the Browns brass spin this one.

My 15 year old autistic son had the best reaction. 

After he spent 10 min screaming mad about the trade….

He said “with Hunt and Watson on our team the women of Cleveland better be scared”

 I wouldn’t worry about Watson. I heard it’s just lockeroom talk. When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.

If you want to continue to throw out the term "serial", see Laley's comments about Findlay. Roethlisberger's crap went back to high school.

Idk if there’s anyone more cringe than him. Watson may have sexually assaulted a bunch of women and I’d still rather have him on my team than Antonio Brown. 

Traded Case Keenum to the Bills for a 2022 seventh rounder. Also signing Jacoby Brissett to a 1 year deal as Watson's backup.

LOL, no.  The first accuser beget the second, and the first named him in a wrongful termination suit against some casino.  She was a nutjob - literally - receiving counseling.  Plainly obvious there was no assault and she name dropped to help her case.

The second was the girls were following him on social media, saw he was in town and followed him around to bars.  Cops on the scene thought the accusations were complete BS, but her spurned sorority sisters were what continued that.  And they knew about the first allegation, which likely triggered it all.  Rumor had it prosecutors dropped the case when she claimed not to have been sexually active for months, but DNA profiles showed multiple partners in recent days.  Prosecutors had been fighting to get DNA from Roethlisberger, then suddenly dropped it all.  So it's a good bet the rumors were true.  I saw video of her police interviews - she was not coerced or assaulted.

He was certainly a douche and treated women badly, like a lot of 20-something dudes especially athletes with money,  but "forced" is likely total bullshit.  And by all accounts he's been a good family man for years.
