Were we going to bring him back?

Probably not. And doubt we could have traded him anyway, his contract is ridiculous.
Not a good look by the Browns, after that shitastic season, raising ticket prices.
“shitastic”………good word.
Sounds like Njoku is pushing for a contract to stay in Cleveland. If they can keep him and somehow move Hooper, sign me up.

Amari Cooper for a 5th and 6th round pick?
Is there a negative story that goes along with Cooper? Seems like a steal.

Not really. Sounds like Dallas owed him a decent amount this year and were confident that Gallup would be their #2 behind Lamb. He had solid production.
Browns basically gave up a 5th rounder as the teams swapped 6th round picks in the deal.
Speculation is that this move might be an olive branch toward Deshaun Watson so he'd wave his no trade clause (to Cleveland). I hope this speculation is incorrect.
...resulted in Amari Cooper telling Prescott that he’s just “the black Kirk Cousins” of the NFL
LMAO that's quality
Would Mayfield be the "white Jameis Winston"?
Ah….there it is
Landry moving on would be obvious. Contract is way too big.
What are the opinions on the Watson rumors? I’m not sure how I feel.
Given prosecutors "could indict a ham sandwich", but couldn't indict Watson with 20 accusers....if you had ONE highly believable/credible accuser, that should have been enough. If you had half a dozen weak/suspect accusers, that should have been enough to go to trial....And I doubt the DA tanked the case.
I could see JuJu ending up with CLE for a reasonable price. He can be a very good slot/3rd receiver, but I think he has delusions of grandeur. Don't think there will be much of market for him, so he'll be looking for a place he can put up some numbers on a 1-yr "prove it" deal. He's not re-signing with PIT unless maybe they get Mariota or Trubisky.
Give me Watson is possible. Tired of losing. Don’t care about peoples characters since no other team in the league or fan does.
Depending on if/how this shakes out with Watson, Tampa Bay has expressed interest in Mayfield.
Not sure on salaries and would probably change my stance….but I’d much rather have BM than Mason Rudolph
There's probably at least 40 guys I'd take over Rudolph. He doesn't have an NFL arm.
I think, if I were a CLE fan, I'd be interested in what Mariota or Trubisky could do in that offense, for a lot less money than Mayfield.
