Well Rosen went on record saying that he wouldn’t play for the Browns is completely false. Just draft Rosen at 1 and be done with it. I honestly think he is the best qb prospect since luck.

See where the Vikes will likely go all in for Cousins and they won't tag Keenum or likely bring him back. Thoughts on Keenum as the bridge QB for the rookie? (That question is for everyone btw)

I think Dorsey, unlike Sashi, wants to win.
Beyond Cousins greatest contract ever, is there a predicted market value for either Keenum or Bridgewater?

I've read Keenum will probably command ~$12-$15M on a 3 yr deal, $25M guaranteed.

Cousins will just set the wheels in motion. If Brees doesn't have a deal in place before Cousins, his will be bigger...then TheRapist will likely start bitching about his deal and want it redone, etc, etc. Cousins "greatest contract ever" likely won't last very long, if it is the biggest deal ever.

If you pick the right guy and the coach isn't an asshat, you should be able to do both. Countless examples of this, not that hard.

You do realize that Hue Jackson's the HC so the "asshat" part is already there. I really want no part of him tainting a rookie QB with his coaching DNA. That was one of my main reasons for wanting Cousins. I doubt Hue could screw that up. Assuming they take a QB at 1, I hope he doesn't see the field until Hue's ass is canned and someone else can mold him. He did an ok job with Kessler but he handled Kizer brutally.

90% of the kizer shitshow falls on kizer being awful. I wasn’t a fan of how Hue did some things with him, but you can’t coach awful.
Ill give hue one thing, this FO hasn’t given him a competent QB. It’s tough to win without one. No one is going to be more happy to get the #1 overall QB than hue is. I’ll give him a shot to see what he can do with him.

BR, your dream of winning NOW is not going to happen. Hate to break it to you, but Cousins coming to Cleveland is very unlikely. I haven't seen one "expert" predict that he will end up in Cleveland. Even if he did, the Browns AT BEST would be looking like one of those 7-9 to 9-7 fringe playoff teams.

Gotta agree with your last point. Cousins would be the best QB Cleveland’s had in decades. But he has a ceiling. And that ceiling is a wild card berth in the playoffs.

This--the kid never had a chance...
Oh, I agree that Cousins won't be coming to Cleveland. Unfortunately, I believe that domino will also send Joe Thomas into retirement. My thoughts were that the only way he returns is if Cousins comes here. We should have our answer (regarding JT) in the next two weeks as he's said he wants to be fair to the Browns to know which direction they have to go at his position prior to FA which is Monday March 12th, I believe.
Speaking of JT, they released a ThomaHawk podcast at about 4am this morning and had Manziel on as a guest. One interesting thing JFF said was about Josh Gordon. He mentioned that for he and JG, there is always the "temptation" to do bad things. People are offering it to them all the time and they "like" to do it so it's tough. Not that anyone gives a shit about what Manziel says but it just goes to show what they're dealing with. The Browns have to make a decision shortly on whether to give Gordon this tender. I think they are waiting as long as possible to make sure no bad news comes out.
BoofuckingHoo JFF. My sympathy card is in the mail.
Joe Thomas will let browns know his future decision soon come, but it’s believed that he will be back playing. According to Rapoport. No surprise there and def good news.
Also doesn’t sound like Crowell will be back in CLE, according to Hue.

I didn't really gaf about Manziel but I did take away the fact that (no surprise) Gordon will likely fall off the wagon if he gets enough chances.

And they shouldn't be enamored with any of these QB's. None of them jump out at being a franchise guy. That being said, they still need one.
