And here we go, headed to the postseason.

It's a best of 5 series in the 2-2-1 format with game 1 at Houston.  No times have been announced yet.

The Indians have named their first two starters (Kluber and Carrasco), while the Astros have not announced anything yet.

The postseason rosters have not been announced as of yet.

Here is a nice FAQ from Jordan Bastian that gives lots of info about our Tribe and the postseason (including his thoughts on who makes it for the postseason roster).

I expect a sweep. Pitching sucks and bats have gone silent.

Gotta "steal" one of the first two in order to have a chance.

Not real confident about this post season, unless we catch lightning in a bottle and our starting pitching can go deep in games--and even that group has been inconsistent at best.

Agreed. I'll go with COA's comments about "expecting a sweep." Just don't have a ton of confidence in these guys. Hope I'm very wrong.

Playoffs mean low scoring games. We are good at that. Get great pitching, they will advance.

If the starting pitching isn't "lights out" then they have no chance.  The different between the two clubs bullpens is pretty drastic.  I think Houston is ranked number 1 while cleveland's is 25th.

All bets off in a 5 game set.  I like our chances.

Didn't work out for us least year.

I always say the MLB playoffs are a crapshoot, but the AL/NLDS especially is a crapshoot.

I like both of these teams. I wish JRam was hotter than he has been but Astros have Springer/Correa who haven’t done much.

I wouldn’t let Bregman beat me.

Many of the pitchers who made us 25th on the list won't be on the postseason roster.

Didn't work out for us last year

We threw a shutout and won, and a 1 run game and lost. 1-1. Won a game 9-8 and then pitched poorly the last 2 games. Don’t see how we pitched well and didn’t advance last year.

Moreso meaning we were banking on great pitching and winning close games.  That did not happen.

This should help.  Would also be nice if JRam was hitting better.

Clev pitching 3, Bauer or Bieber 4 depending on Bauer's use early. I'm wishing for the best but expecting the worst. 2pm start friday is garbage

Always love the Tribe and hate to be the pessimist but I haven't had a lot of confidence in this team since the WS choke job and then last year's gag fest against the Yankees. I know every year is different but I'm in "show me" mode until they prove differently. Sucks but it is what it is.

Gotcha. Our starters are better this year, but bullpen isn’t quite as good. But if we only have to rely on 3 of them (Allen/Miller/Hand)...could be fine.

That's essentially what got us to the WS 2 years ago, but the lineups we are facing are much tougher than 2 years ago.

I wish I shared your confidence--all three have been maddeningly inconsistent this season...or hurt.
