Anyone been watching the trials? What sports/events/athletes are you most excited to watch.

I’ve been big into the T&F qualifying.

Raj Benjamin….400 hurdles

Grant Holloway …110 Hurdles

Alison Felix in her 5th Olympics is a great story….she might be able to get to the finals. Don’t think she’ll medal.

Fan Favorites for me….I love Sha’Carri Richardson….the 3 inch nails and ridiculous eye lashes are silly to me and hair is absurd, but she is so dynamic. So much fire and personality. Her story is something else. I’m not sure she’ll take gold (guessing silver) but she’s must watch 100m.

Gabby Thomas…hoping 200m gold for this elegant beauty from Harvard.

Emma Coburn….she must workout lol. Should medal in steeplechase

Athing Mu…19 year old for gold in the 800

Sis son in the 10,000

Clayton Murphy in the 800

JuVaughn Harrison in long jump and high jump

Happened to catch the trials and watched a good bit this weekend.  Seems like a number of world records will be under assault in a few weeks.  Really fun thing I discovered about the trials is you get to see Team USA sweep the medals every time!

Also watched gymnastics.  Simone Biles can make major mistakes in every event and STILL easily win.  She is quite possibly the most dominant athlete of all time, in any sport.

Also, I hope any ingrate who goes to the Olympics to represent the US and chooses to protest the flag/anthem gets loudly booed.

Is the schedule going to suck? As in prime time coverage will just be showing what happened 12 hours ago.

Got to stay off devices or you will find out what happened before you watch it

Potentially. NBC has an Olympics channel and NBC SN showed a lot of the trials. I hate that you brought this up…the thought bums me out because no matter what I’ll always hear who won and such and that’s irritating.

She’d beat my ass. No one winning a verbal fight with her sass coming at you. Like Rickey Henderson’s bat shit crazy daughter lol

Man though when she went up into the stands and hugged her grandma and grandpa and went through that “my biological mom died last week and without those people up there there is no me” whew…got me

I think she wussed out on the 200 but glad she did as the Ohio St chick got in and that was awesome to watch

Sydney McLaughlin is also just watch….the 21 year old ran the 400 hurdles in 51.9, which is so damn fast that time would’ve qualified in the 400 for the Olympics

Yeah, prime time won’t be live. But that makes sense, since prime time will be like 7am in Tokyo. Everything will be shown live this year, unless develops have been changed from a month ago. But prime time will be a condensed version of the top events.

I miss my old big satellite dish with the live feeds of coverage from the Canadian broadcasters. Live action and they covered the event in full pretty much without regard to how "their" team was performing. Not the U.S. network coverage of events like "Here's your top three and the top American who finished 39th".

Yeah. I think like in years past, things will be streamed online through Peacock. I actually like the streaming option as I can watch a lot more of the lesser known sports live or on demand. I usually stream sports like fencing, archery, hand ball, boxing, martial arts, etc.

Hand ball is an awesome sport to watch and I always wonder why the hell we are not good at it.

I rarely watch the prime time stuff anymore unless it is track and field live.

Yep .......... why do I get the feeling she is not going to a "there is no I in team" person.

Maybe Cuba is looking for a hammer thrower.

Tested positive for marijuana today. Facing a 30 day suspension and could miss the olympics.

Seeing a lot of “it’s just weed!” reactions which I agree with. But, rules are rules and she was dumb enough to break one the month of the olympics 🙄

Tough lesson. Athleticism and talent are awesome, good decisions are even better
