Also cracking me up that guys like Screamin A. Smith, etc are still beating the "racists not hiring Eric Bienemy over X candidate" narrative. 

Bienemy's had 3 (maybe more) seasons to land a head coaching gig. There's obviously something these teams are picking up in interviews (maybe they don't see him as a leader of men?) but Byron Leftwich will likely be the Jags HC in his first year of interviewing for those gigs.

This might be my least favorite storyline every year. I don’t think fans can relate or care that much.  Vikings, Bears, and Jaguars fans would have all traded their head coaches for Bienemy regardless of what flaws he may have. They don’t poll the fanbase or give us any input so why force the racism card down our throats every year.

That is my take. Either he's an asshole, isn't perceived as a strong leader/poor interview, teams think it's Andy Reid's offense and he's riding on Reid's coattails or that he has a cheat code in Mahomes?

Dude has had too many interview opportunities and whiffed.

Mike Zimmer had a ton of interviews before he got the Minnesota job. Rumor was he was kinda an asshole in the interviews by cursing and telling owners how it was. I think when the Browns interviewed them he straight up told them with their roster they were a 3 year rebuild atleast and they wanted someone to promise them an immediate turnaround

I remember this. I know COA was a big fan of bringing in Zimmer.

I thought he would have been a great hire at the time to. I followed him closely being a Cincinnati fan. The players in Cincinnati loved him as DC. 

It’s funny to because of all owners I know Jerry Jones is a big fan of his.

I know when he interviewed for the Bengals job, there were some issues from college and an ex girlfriend brought up. I don't remember the details.

I remember something of this too….might’ve been an easy out too if they had any reservations about him, which obviously everyone seems too.

So many guys aren’t cut for the HC job….just stay a successful OC or DC

#1 defense in the league couldn't do much to stop the Chiefs offense last week in much worse weather than this.  Bengals have a tall task, especially with their offense having 3 and out on the first possession.
