I never called you names  and as a DAV with honors you could only imagine. As a successful retired business owner, chuch leader and community activist that enjoys my rights and earned privilege to be a gun owner is not the qualities of a wacko. How ever your name calling and out burst of derogatory comments is a example of your mental stablity.

You called me self-centered.

I look at the world realistically, unlike you.   Because you're a vet (which I thank you) or belong to a cult does not give you the same rights and protections as a police officer.

We are not talking about war and the military, ya goofy one-eyed bastard.  I am worried about protecting the kids, especially from gun fanatic wackos, like you.

Next thing you know, you'll be suggesting children eat Vicks Vaporub.

Let's see.  A veteran who served this country and gives back to his community vs a guy who jerks off to watching his local hs wrestling team.  Yeah, I think I would be more concerned about the latter owning a gun than the former.

This coming from the guy who previously used an occupy democrats type argument against guns thinking he mic dropped the entire debate.  The same guy who still doesn't understand the real purpose of the 2nd amendment and yet he is trying act smug on the gun debate.

Yea I don’t get the whole CNN townhall special coming up. Shit just happened. Are they also going to put the ROTC kid who said had the coach had a gun he’d have stopped it? Terrible idea for this.

Also, I don’t give a fuck how awesome ur alternative kid is, I don’t give one fuck about the opinion of a 17 year old on gun control either way. Let these kids grieve and everyone else shut the fuck up

Yup, that'll go over well.  Lets give free will to a bunch of Vietnam vets to serve and protect us.  Brilliant idea.  All I was doing was questioning belly's ideas and how they would never work.

Fucking idiots.

It's more than a little frustrating how little people understand rights. If my rights are subject to change due to the actions of a deranged individual, then they aren't rights at all. They are privileges. Also, the Constitution doesn't GIVE me rights. The 2nd Amendment doesn't GIVE me the right to own a weapon. It's silly to think that rights are granted by government. They are (supposed to be) protected by government. My rights are inalienable, granted at birth.

Fucking idiots.

Let's see.

Person A:  Vietnam war vet, goes to church, gives back to community, seems to have a daughter that is doing well, and annoys some of us on this website because he posts stupid shit from time to time.

Person B:  Laughs at when people die, has multiple accounts banned and then uses his brothers, posts people's personal info on a forum, thinks there is a secret machine that multiple countries bought to create natural disasters, etc etc

Who would you all rather own a guy?  I think the gun control advocates on this site can answer this one as well.

lol, i don't care if you disagree with me. Anyway, that's why I call it cherry picking.  Somehow many more people dying via guns is not as important as a mass shootings, which doesn't nearly happen as much comparatively to all gun deaths?  Both instances people are dying, except overall more people die from the former.  When people do this, it tells me they truly don't care about decreasing gun crime, which you admitted. Having a hierarchy for types of murders seems ridiculous to me. But even caring only about mass shooting and domestic terroirst acts, the shooter could have had a pistol and done just as much damage. So again, the AR15 is not the issue.   I stand by my proposed solution.  I think it would also go a long way with decreasing mass shootings as well.

Look at Virginia Tech. That lunatic killed 32 people with a 9mm and .22 pistol.

My wife was at my nephew's birthday party last night (I was traveling) and the adults got to talking about gun control. She said everyone else was so misinformed it was frustrating that she basically had to correct them on every single point they brought up. Her dad kept mentioning we need to get these "automatic weapons" off the streets, yada yada.

It comes full circle from the media. Media has no one intelligent on guns, post dumb shit, lemmings from twitter or who watch the news soak it up and regurgitate it, not knowing they are completely wrong. It makes gun control conversations extremely difficult becase people literally have no comprehension of the subject.

That applies to almost everything these days.  Economics, taxation, you name it.  There's always some "science" supportin a position, so the media is just driving an agenda rather than reporting the truth.

Self-centered is name calling …. OK   no more S-C calling

I had indicated retired military. Is not just limited to Vietnam Vets but because of Salto venting anger he only focusing on me. Retired Military include all branch, service era and DAV. What was also missed was the incorporation of retired police, fire and ems.  Another point that was missed that should be clarified for Salto is “trained”.  Well organized and trained retired military, police, fire and ems, in communication with local police dept, school official and each other.  Weapon qualified, CCW holders, range proficiency and assigned stations via local authorities.

Enforcing the present laws, prosecute heavy those that carry weapons without permits, criminal with weapons and potential idea is no purchase without a proof of a CCW.

The fact that Salto attach my personal appearances, knowing why and how, at the age of 19 years old my injuries occurred, I feel sorry for him.  It is painful to think what he must feel for other with deforming features. Degrade my service to my country is a slander to all Veterans.

I invite Salto to meet with me for a conversation.

Maybe seeing that I'm a person deseriving of respect.

“And in addition to that, you will need a strong, physical security presence. And you can start by hiring trained, armed, former, or retired police officers, trained, armed, former retired armed military veterans.”

Portman's Cincinnati office is in the same building as mine and there are a few protesters out front with signs. I could only make one out:

Thoughts
Prayers

Action

I'd go engage in discussion with them, but I'm having a good day and would rather not be called "evil" if I can help it.
