Well...not sure if it's COVID-19 related or just because I had deadbeat ownership, but lost my job this afternoon. Ownership decided to shut the team down (amateur soccer team). It's not public information yet, not sure when it will be.

Just filed unemployment this evening. Sucks. Been an absolute miserable year.

Sorry to hear that, and with soccer being a fall sport, and many secondary institutions cutting back on non revenue sports, employment opportunities are becoming sparse

This was Feb 27 on GMA with analysis from experts and the CDC.

Has science/biology changed in 5 months or just politics and media narratives?

I don't think the science has. The underlying message there was wear the mask to protect others from your germs, not the other way around. And that's still true today. Don't go into Kroger with your mask on expecting it to protect you. You're protecting others from you. That's why it depends on everyone wearing them. Conservation of supplies was a lot more important five months ago, also. N95s were hardly used prior to this, and overnight just about every healthcare worker suddenly needed one. So I think there was bit of pleading in that video for people to stop buying them for no reason.

In the video they said the CDC recommended that healthy people don’t wear a mask because it does nothing for them and it could give them complications.

What has changed in 5 months that would make that statement different now?

More evidence that two sided cloth masks help....you know as we do more scientific research and discover more about how the virus is spread...

The video was from late February right? I don’t think back then anyone foresaw what was to come.

Back then it wasn’t about what could the masks do to help healthy people and still isn’t. It’s about trying to minimize the germ spread from you to others. Back in February we weren’t worried about the potential asymptomatic positive person walking around the store spreading the virus.

So what germs are a healthy person spreading that they need a mask?

And asymptomatic spread is rare, study I read last night had 19 confirmed cases of presymptom or asymptomatic transmission cases...in the whole world.

Science and experts, gasp, change their findings. I know, it’s crazy.

As far as I know and have read, it is the opposite. Most of the spread is asymptomatic spread and that a cloth mask is an easy/ simple way to slow the spread. If I have the virus and am asymptomatic, the cloth mask limits the droplets of the virus that I can spread to others.

I mean you can also just look at the quick evidence of the states that have mask requirements and the states that do not.

Ohio and Maryland were on similar tracks for months and then Maryland issued mandatory masks and our cases went down....Ohio did not and your cases are way up in comparison

As Marco Rubio said it recently just wear your damn mask.

1. The findings haven’t changed in 5 months. The science about a healthy person wearing a mask is still the same.

2. Masks do work, they keep a sick person from spreading germs. They don’t do anything for a healthy person.

3  Sorry that facts don’t care about your feelings.

I do wear my mask.

But your statement about asymptomatic spread is not true from the studies I have read.

Good for you. Hey I haven't read studies just the cliffnotes and watched briefings from the Maryland Governors office and what the experts from Johns Hopkins and NIH have been telling us.  Those experts have been preaching the last few months masks and social distancing are the best ways to help slow this thing.  Our numbers are way down as a result of people actually listening to their health experts.

Stunning that the government and media has lied to us

Should we believe the numbers that we are at .68% infection rate?

CC always delivers. Nothing quite as entertaining as a guy who is stupid to the "you should just sit back, shut up and let others talk about current events" degree ALWAYS having an opinion and spouting it at all times. It isn't always as good as this math fail, but then again, very little could be.
