Considering that I've had to sit in the office while the most high-strung of my co-workers rambled, muttered and ranted about this for 15 or so minutes straight after the announcement, even my "FUCK RELIGION" ass is willing to accept prayers at this point.

I finally saw the actual ordinance. It’s not that bad, but the tweet responses are right to your point. My “hill jack” city in the South already had them or most of them (maybe not the Uber one). Not statewide though.

We've had a statewide mandate in Alabama for about a week.  I don't think it's a big deal at all.  It take the pressure off of individual businesses who would like to have customers wearing masks, but don't want to try to enforce it and get people pissed.
