Joe Tait dead at 83. Best known as voice of the Cavs, but he also did tribe games for many years.

Tait was the best. Remember hiding under my covers, listening to the Miracle run on my transistor radio, as an 8 year old.....BINGO !!!!

Think he also called Lenny Barker's perfect game (fun fact, once owned a beagle named Lenny Barker). Not sure if he called Eckersley's no-hitter in 77 but I remember most of that game vividly.

Joe Tait.......The Man

In 2012, I chatted with him and Terry Pluto at a book signing.  I found out that he was a big railroad fan and so am I.  I sent him some articles I had written about local rail history.  He wrote me a nice thank you letter, which I cherish to this day.

Tait was fabulous .............perhaps the only guy to do games solo.

I was a big boxing fan in the 80s, and those guys (among others) were a big part of it. It's ashame what has happened to the sport. RIP Marvelous.

Considered a classic even though it ended in the third.

The first round of Hagler/Hearns is one of the best rounds in boxing history. Both guys came out throwing punches.

Jessica Walter.

Damn.

I've used her line, I don't understand the question and won't respond to it so many times in meetings for snark,
