I also highly doubt they were walking to Arlington from Lincoln memorial.  

 

 

this.  They were technically walking in the wrong direction.  the bridge across the river was in the opposite direction.  Besides, the walk between the Vietnam memorial and Arlington doesnt require the steps of the Lincoln Memorial

Good article on the whole thing. If nothing else the Phillips fellow is full of shit. Wonder when the media will apologize or when they call out the black people that were using racist and homophobic slurs? Won’t hold my breath. So in two days we have buzzfeed straight making stuff up and now this debacle that was completely wrong. And people like Boogie just call it “bias” when in fact it is either complete ignorance or blatant lying to the public. Either way, they have Trump this shit on a silver platter and deserve all the ridicule they get.

I think you missed my poin about media bias. I don’t equate lying to bias. My point had nothing to do with that anyway. I was saying that people tend to see the media being biased against whatever side they inhabit.

Perhaps, but what's important that in two days, they got two stories completely wrong.

Tomorrow is MLK day.....the Indian and the MAGA hat will be forgotten.

They will do a full 24 hours of "Trump is a racist"

I missed this whole thing over the weekend. I just saw the initial video and the smug look, but thought, ok the kid looks like a jerk so what? 

I'm not surprised how it quickly became the typical arguments and scapegoats for some people. I just hope if this kid is correct, his life is not ruined by it. 

Outrage for me...I had the Saints ML and -3, so yeah, I'm outraged about that this morning...Oh, and it's fucking cold.

I wasn't going to touch that game.  Even without Kupp, the Rams had too much firepower for me to be confident.

Pretty sad smearing kids has led to this.  I hope everyone is held accountable, but they won't be.  Someone eventually is going to get killed from something like this and everyone is going to be like "omg, how did we let it get this far?!?"

When do the ‘adults’ in the media realize that the truth generally wins out?  Or have they lost all principle and hurriedly promote their narrative and hope the truth is trailing by 24 hours or more?

I was thinking about this Indian dude situation a little more..... there are political agitators all over DC every day.  These people do this stuff all day all over that town and you never hear about it.  The black guys that spent over an hour calling these HS kids all kinds of things didnt get blown up into a story.  Some of the video footage of this is raw.

It was a story because of the hat.  that is all.  Its not about an indian guy and a bunch of white kids.  Its about a hat.  that is all

Thought this too. Weird how the adults acting the worst are glossed over in all of this.

What a dumb story regardless. Shocking people are still talking about it and arguing both sides. Some people still taking words at face value vs. actually watching videos. 

My conspiracy theory in all of this is that it is postmodern creep. It's what spawned off SocJus fanaticism with a sprinkle of nihilism, a dash of social media vanity and a pinch of nothing-else-to-do.

These people are a piece of work; right up there with the WBC only not as well known. And hardly a word said about them by anybody. I guess the leftists are more angry about the double sin of wearing a MAGA hat while being white than they are about the BHI. 

I watched the DC video in parts because I can't sit down and watch something that long without being bored or having to do other stuff. If anybody wants to point fingers, they should be heavily scrutinizing these people. But too many people won't say a word about them because they're afraid of being called bigots.

My husband set his alarm for 5:45 am, woke up before that, didn't turn it off, and then left. So I got to wake up 90 minutes earlier than necessary.
