He's mostly right about this one, though. My in-laws live not even 2 tenths of a mile of State Route 7 in SE Ohio, and even though high speed internet is available all along route 7 and internet starts back up about 3/4 a mile past them on their road, the company refuses to join the two lines (even though every house in the dead zone has committed to getting their service).

It doesn’t matter if you are right or wrong on this board if you aren’t a conservative you are automatically labeled a raging liberal and will get attacked for mostly anything you say even if it’s completely true. People in guensey county do not have relatable internet options and it’s not the sticks

Is it the fault of taxpayers all over the nation that some people in Guernsey County chose to live there knowing they did not/might not have "relatable internet options"?

Probably not. I really wasn’t commenting for or against the issue. I was just pointing out that it is not uncommon for an area to have shitty internet or no internet

Self-proclaimed advocate of THE PEOPLE criticizing the people for "choosing" to live in areas deemed low priority by big tech in regards to a form of technology that's existed to the public for only a bit over 25 years and blown up to be an integral part of many aspects of life as those 25+ years have progressed.

Seems it'd be better to start with the big tech companies who work endlessly to improve and enhance their shit for people who live in more populated areas while taking a "let them eat cake" attitude towards people in rural areas, where the difference between having high-speed internet and an inferior version that struggles to maintain a connection to, say, the BallySports app can simply be a matter of "do you live on this road or the side road going off it".

This is one of the stupidest fucking takes I have seen in a while.

If you want to make his head explode, you could follow it up with "Is i the fault of taxpayers all over the nation that some people in border states chose to live there knowing that illegals might decide to cross the border near where they live?" in regards to the wall he jerked off over throughout Trump's presidency.

You misunderstood the post (not shocking); I wasn't criticizing the people who live there; they are free to choose where to live.  My comment was directed at those who think we should simply spend billions to hook people to the internet in remote areas because, well, we should just do it.  No cost/benefit, and many of the people who chose to live in the remote areas likely don't give a shit either way.

Hope this helps.

The corporate media is an absolute joke. They are calling Republicans calling for mass non-compliance and fighting the feds in court a fucking uprising.

Are you surprised? They white wash all of 2020 and obsess over “1/6”. Last week a lefty hoe in a gorilla mask threw an egg at Larry Elder in California. If that was Stacy Abrams we’d be hearing about systematic racism for weeks.

LOL, Rose McGowan endorsed Larry Elder (a whole, single day before the vote - really???)....apparently because Gavin Newsom's wife tried to convince her not to go public with allegations against Weinstein.

Newsom's campaign, of course, called it untrue and a dirty election smear.

McGowan claims not to be a Republican, and I can't imagine she's not quite liberal.  Seems a little bizarre.  Maybe she didn't get invited to a party or something.

She and her campaign both need to be audited, because there's no way she's putting off a 7-figure job at CNN unless she has more money coming in from somewhere else.

She either paid $30k to attend, or was gifted a $30k ticket and would owe ~$10k in taxes on it, right?
