No idea what HFPA is, only saw that Scarlett Johannsen was upset with it.

So today NBC announced they won't be carrying the Golden Globe awards, not because of ratings in the toilet (which is probably the real reason), but because of a "lack of diversity".

But it's always fun to watch the Hollywood phonies eat their own.

Yeah, it is for the poor ratings, but the HFPA is like FIFA and the IOC. They are a shady mysterious group of people that no one really understands how they vote.  They have been on the shit list for a number of years for folks. 

This is the easiest one of the Award shows to cut really given that.

That's right, no one cares just do your job.  And that's kind of the point of a recruitment video - to reach candidates who might perceive the CIA as not being inclusive enough for them.

Although, to be fair, CIA is the last place I'd expect for wokeness and safe places.  Of course, 99% of those jobs probably involve sitting at a desk all day reviewing intelligence so not everyone has to be James Bond.

A year in, Canada is arresting pastors and limiting what you can buy at Walmart. It’s a liberal’s dream. Almost like Venezuela, who just announced that 80% of their population is living in poverty. If only true socialism was tried!

You being outraged about repeated showings of one side of a centuries-long conflict between people that hate each other, feeling sorry for a group that gets attacked by an impoverished group who's homes are destroyed to make way for "settlers" and feeling offended by a group of meaningless political blowhards complaining about it while at the same time your government prepares another "aid" gift to a country the the US largely financially supports and who has been - by far - the largest recipient of our taxpayer funds of any entity outside of our borders for the last 70 years.  Rinse, repeat.

Even France is banning these gender neutral bullshit terms. 10 years ago when people said how ridiculous it would get, and the left cried slippery slope, here we are. Now a man is competing against women in weight lifting in the olympics. Good work everyone. At least there aren’t any mean tweets.

Pick any point in history and I'm sure there's always a guy saying "Just wait, in 10 years it'll be too late.". Our present time isn't unique.

I do remember, about 20 years ago, the left was all about the individual and deliberately moved away from gender stereotypes.  Made a lot of sense.  I guess that didn't work for them, though, because it didn't create any villains or bigots to hate.

Now we want to cocoon everyone in a bubble, and if one word offends one person...well, then, ban that word and shame anyone who dare use it!

Honestly, how did we go from not talking about gender to listing someone's pronouns on their obituary?
