Thank goodness nothing was required of our ancester to "do it the right way".

Which ancestors are you talking about?   The ones who fought a war for their freedom and indepedence from Great Britain?   Or are you referring to the immigrants who packed into boats,  stayed in ellis island to be granted admission to the US, and then assimilated to the US?  Those are much tougher requirements than today's landscape. I feel like you either don't have a grasp on US history or you disregard it completely.  This is the 2nd time where you mentioned something and all you had to do was take a look back at our most common history lessons from jr high/hs.

My favorite part of liberal logic is we need to be just like Europe, except they don't even embrace the good policies from Europe.  Read up on what most European countries require in order to be granted citizenship.  Most of it would be considered racist or bigot here from our fellow SJWs.   Hell, look at Mexico.  Their laws are MUCH harsher than the US when it comes to immigration and illegal immigrants.

Manufacturers scored a major victory this week with the delay of three taxes mandated by the Affordable Care Act (ACA): the health insurance tax will be delayed for one year and the medical device and “Cadillac” taxes for two years, providing more than $31 billion in tax relief. The NAM has led a concentrated effort to show members of both the House and Senate that the ACA’s taxes would stifle innovation, kill jobs and discourage manufacturers from providing the best benefits to workers. The NAM continues to push for full repeal of the onerous ACA taxes and achieve relief from the employer mandate.

I've pushed my expectations for a recession out beyond 2018....but I have a feeling the next recession is going to fall somewhere between the 2001 and 2008 recessions.  It's going to be bad, and the stock market will take a huge hit because valuations are pretty rich right now.

I just anxiously await rate hikes and keeping my fingers crossed we can survive another year or two, then I'll be piling out of equities into fixed income ahead of the next meltdown.

Every market is winning right now.   I suppose Trump is also the cause of Toyko's success, right?

Anybody see how some journalist withheld a photo of Obama with Jew hating Farrakhan? And that the black caucus invited him there? Solid journalism there and now. Not that I expected anything more.

What that charts shows is that Obama was good at creating part time 29 hour a week jobs.  Numbers are inflated because people were hiring more part timers

As I understood it, he was a photographer (not a journalist).  They asked him for the "negatives", which I believe may be they're right if they are paying him for photos.  But he kept a copy because it's his art.

Why is the black caucus inviting a racist to their meeting in the first place?

Being a racist is irrelevant - he's a prominent and influential member of the black community.  That's why he's there but photos are not released.

Obviously racism exists, but a lot of people who throw that around the loudest and most frequently are looking to benefit politically and/or financially.  Put another way, they don't actually see racism - they see wedge issues and conflict from which they can profit.

Yea, because it's always better to be unemployed than having multiple part-time jobs.

Great thinking, Donald.

(edit)  Interesting you didn't need the part-time job under Obama, but do now?

Aaaah, you wanted to deliver pizza's.  Got it.     Is it weird, having someone you taught a few years ago, as your boss?

You have children.  If you don't need the money, spend more time being a dad.

obama's #'s represent the worst ever coming out of a recession.  Context matters.

The liberal prof Dershowitz said he would have never campaigned for obama had he seen the photo.

Proof again of the media burying news that matters, and being the frontrunner for the democrat party.

Did this photo come out before or after Obama referred to himself as "basically a liberal Jew"?

Bloomberg News (1/29, Carroll) reports that ExxonMobil Corporation CEO Darren Woods announced Monday that the company “is set to invest $50 billion over the next half decade,” adding that it has “a program that includes the Permian Basin of West Texas and New Mexico, a hotbed of US shale drilling where Exxon has been aggressively expanding for years.” In a blog post announcing the plan, Woods “cited President Donald Trump’s US tax overhaul as a significant enabler of the plan.”
