so he defends himself by saying they are the racist ones. Brilliant. I also find it ironic that he ran a campaign on the fact that America isn’t great but other people who complain can gtfo.

I honestly have no idea who Trump really is.  He lies and trolls so much it's hard to tell what he actually believes.

Of course, the Woke Squad is giving a presser right now to respond to his tweets.  So predictable.  AOC up there talking about not being distracted and keeping focus on policy....I bet they couldn't sleep last night waiting for this presser.

I don't understand something. Is it just dumb timing that this has people in an uproar and through the backdoor Trump just ends asylum for people from Central America? Or was this explicitly planned by somebody in the administration who is, obviously, more clever than Trump?

I'm always trying to figure this out. It can't be just dumb luck all the time.

The content of the tweets notwithstanding, Drumpf has flipped the script and forced the democrat party to embrace the retarded "squad" again,  just as Pelosi almost had them marginalized.

They're back to being the faces of the party, and that's a net win for the Orange Man.

I’m not a big fan of any of the congresswoman but I’m not surprised that he is doubling down because as he says “many people agree with me” and I def agree with that. It goes back to  what I was saying last week with the “true” or “ real” American narrative. You have to look and believe or be from a certain country to qualify I guess

Not a fan of that as a defense either. That said, any criticism of these representatives results in the attempt to be deflected by the use of "women of color". These women are stone racists. Period.

I was actually thinking similar - he got the Woke Hen Squad to bring the crazy all over again in a national press conference.

He gets away with it because Trump is that embarrassing uncle/grandpa most people have come to accept for who he is, but when you can get the spotlight on The Squad, voters are disgusted and turned off.

They were a little better than they normally are.  But Dems and their media just won't learn that you can't win a turd-flinging contest with Trump

I don’t think one can automatically assume he did it on purpose.

If they weren't idiot radicals, they would have dunked so hard on Trump getting up there and just saying "we're trying to make America great again, too".

The problem with the identity politics of the left is, instead of being a foil against his ideas and offering their vision to make America better, they mainly just say it's racist.  That's not a very compelling message for moderates/independents.

The person who wins is the one who's willing to do what others aren't, and you're not going to outpace someone with no shame like Trump.

Yeah, I don't think a Mr. Magoo parallel is entirely out of context.

Right.  And if the DNC were smart, they would have realized this after this past election.

Well, when your other messages are socialism and Marxism, you need to have something.

It's mindboggling how they come up with this stuff.  You used to be about helping the poor and working class - ALL of them.  So easy to include the white working class, but essentially they shame the people struggling to get by for wanting more food on their table.  The attempt to get their vote begins and ends with "you're racist if you vote Republican".

Same calculus they all do, though.  And it's because 80% of the electorate blindly votes the same party every time.  The strategy here is that Dems will lose some of those white voters, but net gain by turning out more minorities.  It might even be correct.  And if you look at Europe, radicals like AOC is just the beginning for that party.  Hopefully that eventually results in a 3rd party, then maybe the moderates can join together and then actually accomplish something as a rational majority.

What’s the difference in the types of bigotry exhibited?  The left can say that the right is racist, and it is taken by many as gospel.  Yet, the left, such as Hillary, can call economically or educationally disadvantaged people ‘deplorables’, and treat them as such………….and that is ok.  Bigotry and mockery over education levels or economic strata is as bad as any other type of bigotry, such as racial.  But when you are a democrat, it’s different …..every time.

I hate to break it to you but this is not going to happen.  The horse is out of the barn.  You can look at our own short history there has always been a sizable "moderate" element but eventually the radicals drive the agenda until one of them beats the shit out of the other.  Our two civil conflicts were driven by radicals most people wanted to live in peace and be left alone.

The radicals are the most politically active so they are needed and well fed until they get too big and bust out of the corral.  Social media has fanned the flames.  Unfortunately it's going to come to a head before you see a period of moderate control.

Yep.  I think that trade-off is exactly what they're aiming for.  They'll lose a few low-class whites to get the bigger minority turnout.  Long-term, it might work, but not among moderates, who are going to see right through the absurdity of it.

Maybe we'll see a president with fewer than half the electoral votes (assuming they haven't gotten rid of the electoral college by then).  At this point, is that REALLY as bad as it was made out to be in the '92 election?

LOL....imagine Steyer sitting at home going "hmmmm, there's a lot of room for a candidate to the left".  Can't wait to see him in the debates.  And I think the person he siphons the most votes away from is probably Warren.

Also, Beto "my great-grandpa had slaves!"....you're doing it wrong.
