They need to change the OHSAA from a private club to a public board, with elected members and participants. They can't just hide behind a whim decision, and they should be accountable to every school they supposedly represent. I think a drastic change needs to happen, and making the OHSAA public would be the first major step in the right direction. Then all findings and decisions would have to be public, and therefore everything must be disclosed. I think it is total counterproductive to have a private club overseeing an organization that governs schools which have over 90% that are public schools.

The upcoming "Competitive Balance Proposal" would only further your opinion if passed. It doesn't increase your desire to have more open, public information it limits it to a very small committee.

I wouldn't contact Barbara Moore anyways..... it sounds like she is a document preparer.... not a member of the board. She is just someone that the Nelson's have named as messing up his paperwork and caused the twins to be inelligible.

Falcon81- I was wondering what the chances are, hypothetically, of letting this all just die down and just have the boys wrestle at Tuslaw for the remainder of their HS career.

I know this seems like a big deal today,.... but "time heals all wounds" so to speak. I have seen many parent/coach conflicts before, and as soon as the coach mandates that he just deals with the kids, things go noticably smoother. I am sure the Tuslaw program could see your boys through to accomplishing their wrestling potential, and I'ld bet they have friendships at Tuslaw that they would like to re-establish. - Total Win-Win situation

I realize that PRIDE issues on both sides would make the first couple tournaments kind of "dicey", but the PRIDE in being the "bigger person" could get someone through that easy enough. And I've known hundreds of coaches, and they ALL just want to help kids learn, grow, and accomplish, through the great sport of wrestling. I've never meet them, but I doubt the Tuslaw staff is any different.

Is this an option? as we all know the last thing our sport needs is a lawsuit

I agree, if Tuslaw is so aweful and has put his children in danger the past several years as he stated in earlier post, why did he wait to pull his two younger children out of the Tuslaw Schools. He just pulled them a few weeks ago. Why would he be the number one supporter of Tuslaw if it was such an aweful community. The truth is that Mr. Nelson can't handle the truth. Say your sorry to your boys and stop blaming a great community, great coaches, great schools and anyone else i forgot to mention that your blaiming.

I should say some guttless wonder ended there season. Never gave his name. Just like on herer they hide behind screen names and throw rocks. Nothing has been deleted except what was talked about earlier in the thread and the threads were deleted by the user themselves, not deleted by mods! Some posts have been edited and where I have done that I have signed to that on the edit.

I'll assume that you have an established 501c3 organization in place to accept these funds and as a potential donor I'd like to know how you plan to use these donations. Will you be hiring lobbyists? Will funds be distributed to other families to enable them to contest rulings? How much will be spent on administrative costs? Are you aware that "Free Nelly" has been copyrighted by the Scotland affiliate of "Ripleys Believe it or Not" and will require a royalty payment to use their slogan? In all seriousness, I'd be content to see a response to the questions I laid out in my last post. For the record, I was hoping the kids would be ruled eligible. The only loser in this whole mess is them.

This is a complete circus! Mr Nelson took the twins out of tuslaw because he thought they were in danger. I played sports through college. We had a horrible coach! All of us players had no clue how he got to be a coach! Coming home from a game, we stopped at pizza hut for dinner. Coach had a beer. It took all 22 of us going to the dean of students saying coach had one beer and drove the van! Next day said coach was fired for wrongfully putting his players in harms way. You keep calling these coaches drunks! Why didn't you go to the boe or the superintendant after states last year and tell them? There is no way that your story of all the coaches being too drunk to drive the van to the meet is true. If the right people were informed of that story they would be fired. I'm sure the Logans don't appreciate you airing their dirty laundry. That story made you sound so proud that a volatile father/son/coaching relationship ended and the kid got kicked out of his because of you? You really hate Joe Logan! Probably almost as much as Barbara Moore! Enemies much! Be careful you never know who might be related to or is good friends with someone important, that makes important decisions! Btw, pretty tacky to start soliciting for donations to fund your future legal battle to get your kids reinstated! Good luck, you will need it. Its a shame you didn't learn anything from this.
