It happened yesterday.
Spent months trying to find anyone selling one at MSRP…
no one is selling Raptor R at MSRP, most want $150-200k for a $109k truck)
Many are selling base model raptors ($80k) at or just over MSRP.
Nearly no one is selling a fully loaded 37in tire performance package Raptor at MSRP ($89k). Most asking for $105-110k.
I got lucky, a dealership In Lebanon OH (north of Cincy) had a customer custom order one, but it took 6 months due to part shortages so they bought one somewhere else in the mean time. The dealership had a fully loaded 37” tire package Raptor with everything except some of the Raptor decals/stickers (guy didn’t like them) and sold it at MSRP.
I picked it up yesterday.
Truck that I have wanted since they came out in 2010…

Nice. The Ford Focus I just got rid of a couple months ago was still going “ok” at 295,000 miles

NICE! I like it without the decals.
Are those side steps plastic? I would hope not, but I can't tell.

Looking for a Suburban/Yukon/Expedition currently. Very low inventory of all 3.

Anyone have experience with Volvo?
We really like this one:
https://www.volvocars.com/us/cars/xc60/
We won't get anything until the new truck is paid off (February) and would likely be selling two Subaru's before getting something new. We're not sure if we want to go for one of the more luxury brands or just get a decked out Subaru or Kia or something.

A good friend of mine has a '21 C60 cross country. It's super nice, very lux interior.
I don't have a lot of experience with Volvos. My grandmother used to have like an '08 s40 sedan. I always liked it. I hoped to get it handed down to me lol. I moved to NYC, she gave it to my sister. It was then beat to shit. Nice car overall though!
It's weird. I used to make fun of wagons forever. Then as I got older I started to like them. My dad recently got an '18 Impreza. It's loaded and I really like it, but he got the 4 banger version.

No, they are metal with a textured hard grip coating

I do as well.
Like my cousin said when I showed him yesterday. Everyone who knows trucks knows its a Raptor. The decals are just "showboating" to everyone else that you have a Raptor.
I would have wanted the decals if it was any other color but black, but I definitely like how it looks better on a black one without it.

I prefer a cleaner look. I don't know why people keep the horrific RUBICON decals on their Jeeps. I'd ditch all stickers immediately.
Any plans to mod it? I'd go all weather mats and full ceramic tint to start.

Getting a ceramic coating for paint and undercoat for rust etc asap
No other plans on modding it until the warranty is up.

I'm considering paint correction and ceramic. I regret not doing it as soon as I bought my 4runner. The paint quality is very subpar.

I traded in my 2016 Accord with 65k miles on it for a new Palisade. My wife has always had an suv and I’ve always had a sedan but right when Covid hit she bought a Lexus UX Hybrid so she wanted me to get something bigger this time around. I’ve had it about 3 weeks now and love it.

Last week I took the Ford Factory Tour and saw one of these coming off the line. Beautiful vehicle.

We're considering the Palisade and the Honda Pilot at the moment. We really like the Volvo's but I'm just not sure it's worth the money.

I test drove a '21 Pilot Black edition. Awesome car, I just couldn't justify the price.
Reppin' the 330/216/843
We have a 2020 Pilot, Elite trim. It’s had some audio issues and already has a new alternator, but overall it’s been good. Needed a 3rd row SUV for child purposes. I wanted to look at the Palisade but wife hated on it being a Kia. Looked at the Subaru Ascent too but didn’t like it as much.

Platinum. No I-Force. There wasn't a Platinum scheduled with the engine in any of the 6 Toyota dealerships in my area in the next couple months.

I actually really like the look of the Kia Telluride, too.

Yes they are, I did energy and emission studies at both Ford truck plants in the USA a few years ago, were you at the Louisville KY plant or the Kansas City MO plant?

I saw one on the road the other day, I agree, oddly I kind of like the look of the Telluride.

Rouge Plant in Dearborn

I didn't realize they had retooled that plant until now. When I did the energy study at that plant they were only making mustangs.
Back then all trucks were made at either Louisville or KC. Now its Dearborn, KC or Louisville.
Apparently Dearborn is the only site of the 3 that makes Raptors.
I got to see a Shelby Mustang come off the line back when Dearborn made Mustangs.
