Signing bombs like he was a celebrity. Which, I guess to the Dems, he is.
posted by BR1986FBIn total awesomeness news, since CNN has gone to war against Trump (2016) they have gone from 13.3 million prime time viewrs to 800k, a decline of 93.99%.
Well, shit!
After all these years of Hollywood and Disney just remaking and remaking, I still don't understand why they don't just create something new. Why do they have to keep remaking old movies with the specific intent of sending out political/cultural messages?
When I think about the gifted world-builders (writers) that I know personally, it's hard to imagine that Hollywood and Disney can't find people to do just that. And do it on the cheap because people would be happy just to get their foot in the door.
tsk!
From the vids I've seen all the MSM talked about this one cultural having a larger impact this election than it normally would have. Even MSNBC said that the Trump ad (Kamala is for they/them, Trump is for you) played during sports had a big impact.
I think that when the Payton McNabb story came out, people decided they wanted no part of that shit happening.

And as far as Tulsi is concerned, I ain't mad at it.

Oh, you don't even have to follow somebody/politicians because sure as shit somebody else is and will repost.
Another gripe I have is that everybody is a blue check now.
posted by Dr Winston O'BoogieGuys like him push innovation forward. I just and watching 'Mericans loving on him.
I know you'll counter that he is hated by left wingers, but they're not appointing him to the head of a government commission, so that's why I mentioned mit from the MAGA context. It's okay to laugh about the MAGA crowd once in awhile without doing a "whatabout" on the "dems" - really.
I'm not sure if you mean me? I don't have any plans to counter what you said about Must. Hence, my comment about him being polarizing.
I think he's a bit mad, but on the kooky science part of it. He's got an eye on the futuristic, for sure. I also think he will take some sciences to a whole new level - and that shouldn't really be a right/left or up/down thing.
If he and Ron Paul can help Vivek Ramaswamy cut down a sizeable amount of redundancy and waste I'm not going to be mad about it.
Other than that, I'm not really one of his groupies, I don't know a lot about his politics.
posted by iclfan2You can keep saying that. It was literally one of the top reasons Trump was elected. The gays should have never let them jump on their platform. If the left was smart they’d stop celebrating mental health issues, it’s an easy win.
I think the T part was cool until politicians started taking up with activists. Now it's gone so far as to just turn people away from it all. Even the days are starting to speak out unfavorably. They want no parts of transing kids or drag queens story hour. It's repulsive to them, too.
Dems already shitting in their pants over Tulsi.

posted by Dr Winston O'BoogieI'm looking forward to what Musk may be able to do.
On a personal side, I have to laugh about the number of MAGA people in my life (including immediate family) who HATED musk only a few years ago because he was "getting rich of government subsidies" and was sponging off of government largesse. I was told yesterday by one of these fine fellows that he is, in fact brilliant. When I pointed out the this person was one of the people who had trashed him, he said (paraphrasing) "That goes to show how brilliant he is. He knew how to use the liberals and he was so good at it, he even fooled me."
It's interesting because a few years ago the Dems loved Musk because of his electric cars thing.
But, then he bought Twitter and kicked out the interference of govt spooks. Now the Dems pretend their skin is melting off at the mere mention of his name.
He is definitely a polarizing man.

If not, their sexuality is of no concern to me unless they want to have sex with me. At that point it becomes an issue, and it’s my choice.
Well, obviously as an advocate of the devil, we know you're gonna have sex with them! 🤣
All joking aside, the problem is that it can't even be talked about without people wanting to shut down and shut out any calm and reasonable discussion about it. And as the matter is increasingly becoming known as being an issue in schools, the talk needs to happen somewhere. Regardless of just how many people are dismissive of the amounts of importance, there are equally the amount of people who do take contention with it. This is where Title IX comes in and why it is a political issue. Just recently, for example, a student is under threat of suspension/expulsion from school because they pointed at a trans student.
And we should be able to talk about it without constantly having to go through the litany of qualifiers in the way you did.

Now let’s look historically who has held this position. Obama appointed Ash Carter who was a civilian with no history in the military in fact most people who have held the position have no military background.
To be truthful, anybody who is put into that position is susceptible to be heavily leaned on and manipulated by the military industrial complex. Every body should be concerned about this all the time, not just for Trump.

This guy better have a good plan and good under secretaries
I give him under two years before other federal agencies find kiddy diddling or some other ruinous accusation on his computer that will "destroy" him. We now know just how far these entities will go. That is one of the net positives of Trump being elected in 2016 - because that unintendedly exposed just how corrupt our govt is.
So, the Dems will have a long road to winning on cultural issues as long as they insist on behaving like this guy.
https://x.com/thomaschattwill/status/1855252627996488082
They insist on ignoring the fact that "trans" relies on the very basic facts of biology. In order to be trans, one must first recognize that they are one sex or the other before they can make moves to portray themselves as another sex.
This is baked into the cake.
So when people like this guy wild out over the very idea that a trans woman is a biological male, they are in fact being quite contradictory to their own argument.
posted by ptown_trojans_1The Republicans in Congress had a big part of that too.
Yes, they had a huge part in it and this is correct to point that out imo.

The guy is a vet and may be smart, but the DOD is the largest federal agency, $900M, and over a million people. How is this guy going to run that is a big question.
Hopefully, it won't be that hulkingly massive before long.
I can dream, can't ?!
I consider this new guy not being a Rumsfeld or Cheney to be in the Plus category.
posted by iclfan2Per my 10 minute Twitter search I like it. Get the woke shit out and get recruitment back up. Elizabeth Warren disliking him is almost enough for anyone to like it.
Going to take a while before recruitment can work up again.
