In retrospect, I enjoyed the Steelers game. During it, things were a bit on the tense side with the whole "completely dominate Burrow and still only have an 11-point lead, so you know that's not gonna hold up" vibe that led to Pittsburgh needing Cincinnati to have a special teams meltdown and then have to drive to win on a long field goal. But in retrospect, it was great!

Also, why tf didn't they challenge the no-call on the pass to Chase on the drive that ended with a turnover on downs? He made the catch and I'm like nice TD, and then they line up for 1st and goal.

Should also be noted that while the snap on the extra point seemed to be lacking velocity, the man at the end of the line took the outside rusher instead of the inside man.

Also, looks like Prescott is hurt again for Dallas, so it's cool to see the Cowboys will be mediocre at best for yet another year. It won't be so cool when the networks still have them on as the national game nearly every week, but I always love it when they suck, so there's that!

NFL.com is useless. They don't show rookies in the stats section for some reason.

posted by friendfromlowrySo, since kicking is touchy, you probably want the starting long snapper doing what he’s paid and trained to do. Not the third string TE brought in at a moments notice?
Yeah….takes minimal to mess up a kicker. A fine precision, but every back up of that type should practice as if they will be needed. Does the back up do 10 snaps for punts and field goals a practice? Do they ever practice? I don’t know the answer but I know what the answer should be. That dude wasn’t ready snd the offensive line wasn’t ready at all. I’m blaming the coaching staff.

This is most concerning to me, even more so than Burrow’s sloppiness, or the offensive line showing little improvement. Just blunder after blunder by the coaching staff.
On the final punt in overtime they snap the ball with 10-15 seconds left on the game play clock. Just messing up football 101 stuff.

That should not be a first down for the Broncos. First downs are not like breaking the plane and you've got it. When you pull the ball back like he did before hitting the ground, the forward progress goes back also.

Pretty dumb strategy at the end by Denver! Trust your kicker to make the 2nd longest FG in history to avoid losing, rather than have your offense convert 4th and 5 with 3 time outs left and the high priced QB.

Kicking a 62 yarder vs getting 5 yards? I dunno man, I’ll take my chances picking up 5 with Russ.

Lol. Insane decision.
Having the leg is one thing. And he was close. But straight in that situation had to have been 10% chance at best.

Hackett looked like an idiot between the FG decision and then randomly using his time outs at the end.

Of course Geno Smith led the shitty Seahawks to victory. Why wouldn’t he?

He said they were worried about the Steelers timing the snap of they ran it all way down. I can see that. Apparently the entire coaching staff forgot that you can just take delay penalty and get a new 40 there.

So let me get this straight, you spend a bunch of draft capital to get your savior QB, you're in a 4th & 5 situation, driving for the win and you sit him in favor of trying an almost NFL record FG to win it? Makes sense.
I get it if you're the Browns (Brissett), Jets (Flacco), Jags (Lawrence), Panthers (Mayfield), Steelers (Trubisky), etc. if you have a bad QB and maybe have the kicker to make it but sitting Wilson in that situation? Stupid.
I chuckled this morning because one of the guys on Sirius XM, who's kind of a douche, had Denver in his survivor league.

posted by j_crazyalso as an unbiased observer of that pittsburg/cinci game yesterday, fitzpatrick plays dirty as hell. i counted 5 headhunting lunges yesterday. 2 of them were blatantly going for thomas' head on overthrown incompletions. wild to watch that going on with the concussion focus.
Seems like Chase agrees.
