I’m going to stop with parlays. Just haven’t had much luck. I thought I had a simple one earlier: Jokic over 23.5 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and then Wagner over 16.5 points. I think Jokic missed on the assists but Wagner wasn’t close.

What I have had some luck with is over/under point totals. I wish I had been more aggressive on nights like tonight where so many guys are out from trades. I don’t know if any of tonight’s games hit the over. 

I would have came out okay tonight but I got greedy and bet the Lakers moneyline when they were up in the second quarter.

Maybe my worst bet in a year. Christie started, played 12 min total, went 0/2 with a single assist, and I went 0/3 on those bets. LOL.

Yeah, I might limit myself to smaller 2 leg parlays with less than +200 odds like I hit on last night. Not doing so hot with anything 3 legs or more.

This won’t always hit obviously but I wonder if it’s smart to frequently bet on the total under on games in the last several minutes where one team is up big. 

I did that with a college game last night where there were 8ish minutes left and one team was up 25 I think. Neither team is putting up much effort as the game goes on and the winning team is milking the clock. 

^ I frequently have 2-3 games I am eyeing as the game progresses to see if a good opportunity exists to jump in on the over/under; it has worked a fair amount of times .............also the over/under on total second half points, after you've seen what the first half looked like (often the halves can be much different from each other). 

Of course, I went 0-4 last night, so what the hell do I know. 

That is a great strategy I have used the past month on NBA. But the sweet spot I have found is 15-20 with 8 min left and then 10-15 with 5ish. If its too much, the reserves come in and both teams just go pick-up style. But if its "within reach", you just need a stop by team ahead, and even if they go score, its using clock. A few misses in a row, and you are golden. 

Conversely, if you take the under and it gets within 5-7, your in for a long finish. NBA players rarely miss FTs, and the advance the ball and lax defense to not foul after leads to relatively easy 3s or quick dunks. Can be 4-5 points in a 3 second span, and that can happen 3-4 times the last 40 seconds.

I threw a dollar each on Hovland and Day to be the round 1 leader. I think at +1400 and +1200. 

DK doing the “up 10 anytime you win” promotion tonight. Who is best bet? Celtics vs Hornets? I saw the Spurs basically benched their entire already miserable team but I still don’t know if I trust the Pistons to capitalize on that.

I'd go MEM, CLE, SAC in that order for favorites I see getting a 10 point lead at some point with a decent ML return (under -200). 

For better value, I would add to those 3 teams: DAL, MIL, LAC, MIN. Yes, they play each other, but that is kinda the point. I am not sure how strict DK is on these things, and if you can bet opposite end or if you can only bet 1 side or what. But, I wouldnt be opposed to like a MIL with the promo, then LAC ML regular bet. If they offer that promo for 2 bets on same game, I would definitely jump on it for that game and DAL/SAC as well as MEM/MIN. I wouldnt be shocked if all 6 of those teams had a 10 point lead at some point, or if the team who got up, lost.

Someone is gonna overtake Scheffler. 

Went 2/3 tonight. Hit the 10-point bet on the Thunder actually, then a three team parlay on Suns, Cavs, and Bucks. 

Struck out once again on nba. Went 2/2 on nhl.

Im and Finau still have an outside shit for me to maybe pull an outright winner for golf, but if not I’ll be 0-5 so far in 2023 in trying to nab an outright winner. (I know golf is tough lol)

Fuck. Took Philadelphia over 105 points and Brooklyn over 104. They were both still several points away at the end so I needed overtime to get there. Dinwiddie hit a near half court shot at the buzzer which would have forced overtime but reviewed showed the ball still on his fingertips after time had expired so no good. 

Put $25 on whatever that FanDuel boost for UFC was lol

I almost put $10 on it, I’m kicking myself now.

I’ve officially placed all my bets. If some early ones hit, I’ll have some to live bet tonight. But looking forward to watching for the first time in years. Also loved Mahomes U295.5 yards passing and U51.5 for the game, but I missed on both and they have been bet down to a number I don’t like as much. 

DK had the boost for Boston Scott to get 10+ rushing yards which he’s done the last three games. He gets eight yards in the first half then doesn’t have an attempt after that. Huh. Imagine that.
