MLS is currently at a mid-May start date, but they're preparing for a mid-June date. Germany has restarted small-group training.

From what I've heard, at least May through July could be closed-door play for all sports.

It's very popular in Cincinnati these days.

It's gonna be real sad if I ever get so desperate for sports that I find myself reduced to watching our minor league style of soccer populated by no-names and old dudes playing out the string somewhere where the quality is low enough they still are viable talent.

MLS is incredibly entertaining if you don’t mind watching “non-world class” players. Fast paced, high scoring, little defense. It’s a lot like the Dutch league.

All that said, we do have some in their prime world class guys, and the league has gotten much, much better over the years. They need to continue to put teams in places where pro sports are at 0-2 teams and not 3-6. Those places have done extremely well.

Watching the Cal Ripken 2131 game on ESPN....the HR and the 22 min standing ovation/circle the fence....incredible. And windy Berman called it perfectly, he didn’t say a word the entire 22 minutes.

They probably turned his mic off....

I get it was a huge accomplishment, but I never bought into the hype as i do other records for some reason.

No they didn’t. He handled it with perfection. The replay was exactly the same as the original showing. I’ve heard him interviewed before saying that moment needed nothing said. The crowd did the speaking. His schtick ran it’s course and he’s irritating with all the names and the HR Derby calls....but Berman can do a really good job at tribute style things.

Watched the documentary covering the Pittsburgh Penguins from start (late ‘60’s) to finish.  It was exceedingly well done. What a story!

Last night watched Ali defeat Spinks in ’78 in 15 rounds, and then Tyson KO Trevor Burbick in round 2.

Couple of other good bouts to watch:

Mancini - Frias

Hagler - Hearns

Watching 1970 NBA finals game between Lakers and Knicks now. Wilt Chamberlain is the athlete i’d most want to go back in time to watch.

1997 slam dunk contest now. Ray Allen was in this???

Ya homeboy Bob Sura from the Cavs was in this. When/if the season resumes and the first time the Cavs win the party is at his house.

I saw some insane Kareem pics on blocks on twitter the other day. They were crazy.

I really think I taught with his wife. Not 100% sure but I’m pretty sure. A funny and goofy guy. He was fine but he was crazy on here lol. Wilt and his 50 inch vertical.

Rewatching the 2007 eastern finals game between Lebron and the Pistons. It’s unbelievable how fucking miserable everyone on that Cavs team was besides him.
