how about sticking a finger down your throat—Allen was nauseating. Period.

I'll stick with the face palm, you handle the gagging.

Dad is a huge Reds fan and both him and my sister are just going ballistic at the game right now.

Reminds me of the 2013 Tigers, bullpen is gonna be the death of a great offense and starting lineup

I was impressed with Romano. He could have folded after two innings but he battled and at least kept the Reds in the game.

Hats off to Cincy for not packing it in.

Votto is CLUTCH.

I thought the Tribe lost some focus at the plate up 4 with Bauer unhittable. On the flip side the Reds really battled Bauer hard in the 6th and 7th and never broke thru but got his pitch count to where it was borderline at end of 8.

It was a gag, not a face palm...and Tito said “OP” meaning lefty Oliver Perez to come in and face Votto and Willis thought he said “OT” and signaled for Otero? Are you fucking kidding me?!?

That’s hideous if true but I don’t think it mattered which one of those guys once it came down to Votto

I'm a huge Francona fan but the management of the pitching staff this year has just been awful

Otero is bad, so maybe Perez does better. But Votto is so damn clutch, I’m still taking him to get at least a run in vs Perez.

Otero is getting hit by lefties at a .348 clip this year. Perez has given up 4 hits to lefties all season. How does Willis not even question Tito there? I mean, Allen was awful, but that happens over 162 games. But to bring in the wrong pitcher is simply inexcusable. Just...wow.

Bauer is closing in on Kluber as the best CYA candidate on the Tribe this season. Dudes been otherworldly.

Lastly, glad this is like the Cavs, where I don’t have to care at all about regular season loses like this. But if management doesn’t upgrade this god awful Pen...and preferably the OF (or 2B...though Kipnis has been better than solid for about a month now) I’m gonna fucking lose my shit.

If the wrong pitcher gets brought in...can’t Francona just call in the guy he wants.

What a crazy thing to happen. Should’ve never gotten to that. Some ho him Reds found their way on base against Allen

Joey Votto 4/13 .308 HR and 6 rbi off OP

Votto was 0/4 off of Otero before that AB

It was idiotic for coaches to ass that up but I still feel once it got to Votto...it was at least gonna be tied up. I’ll not comment on it anymore. I respect your opinions on it too.

Game 3 should be a good matchup

I didn't know this, but the way it was explained last night is that once a pitcher enters the field as a reliever, he must pitch to at least one batter. That being said, if you watch Tito and Kipnis on the mound as they're taking Allen out, they're both signaling with their left hand wanting Perez, and as Otero enters from the bullpen Tito just drops his head as if saying "oh god, that's not who I was expecting"--so I guess that means he was stuck with him at that point.

Also, for the record, I think Votto is a stud, and yes, maybe he at least ties it up...but the odds were better that he doesn't if Perez pitches to him instead of Otero. Game over, Reds win...next.

I'm gonna try to adopt Laley's attitude of not caring about the regular season losses (ala Cavs), especially like last night's. Just win the division and hope we get hot.

And Votto breaks up the no-no with a single to RF.

Well, how about some trivia, since Ironman is on here?

Carrasco has his 1000 K as an Indian and is in 12th place all time.

Hammy gave the list.  Here is what I remember and will need help to complete it.  (that's where you all come in)

1 - Feller

2- McDowell

3- Kluber (who started the year in 7th)

Now.....I don't remember the exact order, but next were....

CC

Nagy

Harder

Bell

Garcia

So some are missing.

One more trivia later.

I'm feeling a little better now with the 9 run third .

Which brings me to the next trivia question :

JRam (after his first homer tonight) has become the 6th Indian to have 25 homers at the break.

Name the other 5.

4 are easy. One is an old timer.

Go Tribe.
