Pens got out of the gate in a big way, 7-0 over the Flyers; game 2 tonight.

Will be interesting to see if they can make the finals again, and win The Cup again.

Nice to start out with a Philly team that they seem to genuinely dislike, to hopefully ensure no letdowns.

And it looks like Columbus might have made the right decision to essentially throw their last game (sitting a number of people, including Bob) to avoid Pittsburgh in the first round. Washington just seemed to have that "oh crap; gonna shit down our legs in the postseason again!" vibe about them when Columbus kept fighting back. Talented team, but no mental toughness when it counts.

That Malkin goal was filthy.

Weird series; three games and all have ended as blowouts. Man, Murray was clutch early on. Philly looked ready to dominate and he was able to stonewall them until the Pens could get that first goal and a little momentum.

And the two in five seconds in the second didn't hurt, lol.

Damn, Blue Jackets!!! Up 2-0 over NHL's best postseason choke-artists, winning both in OT at their place. Bob was huge in the third only giving up 1 goal since the Caps outshot them about 300-to-1.

That Blue Jackets game was insane. They got out shot 57-28 and the last 10 minutes of the 3rd period the Capitals were on a power play. Bob was outstanding,I know he gave up 4 goals but practically the whole 3rd period was played in the Blue Jackets end.

Blue Jackets/Capitals series has been very entertaining. All three games have went to overtime.Last night's game went 2OT's with the Capitals winning 3-2. Blue Jackets lead the series 2-1. Game 4 is on Thursday.

I'm a die-hard CBJ fan, but the idea that you can protest a lack of an offside call on a goal when the opponent was in the zone for several hours is ridiculous.

Pens winning by manslaughter currently. Good.

I  concur.

I was not aware that it was even reviewable.  This series has been fantastic.  So close with all OT games.

Always good when the Pens are on the onslaught especially against the Flyers!   Close this one out and then don't fuck around in game 5 to finish it out.

I'd be honestly surprised if they didn't. Philly just looked like a beaten team at home in Game 4 and now they're back on the road. It's sports and anything is possible, but I'd have to give the Pens about a 95+% of winning just based on how weak of an effort Philly gave Wednesday.

Do we know who they will face next?

Washington or Columbus. NHL is big on divisions being represented, so the winner of the 2-vs-3 round plays the winner of their division's 1-vs-wild card matchup.

Well both those clubs should be pretty well beat up by the time we see them  :)

Big night:  Pens, Cavs, Tribe and Bucs all at 7pm ...............wife's head will be spinning from channel flipping.

Lol, note to self: Do not take up gambling as a hobby.

It was a fun night at a friend's last night. Every team either of us might want to cheer for (Indians, Reds, Pirates, Pens, Cavs) lost. An 0-5 night for us might be unprecedented!
