Hernan Perez a utility infielder for the Nationals just hurled his second scoreless inning this year. He threw 4 pitches 46 mph
Like it!
In 2019 Tribe's backup catcher Kevin Plawecki pitched two 3 up 3 down innings.
Fernando Tatis is still...must watch baseball.
Last 7 AB vs Dodgers..4 HR and 2 off Kershaw and 2 off Bauer
First HR off of Bauer he gave his dugout the 1 eye signal mocking Bauer....next hat he did Bauer’s flailing of the arms lol
And after Bauer stayed in...got the W he then was pulled after 6, went to clubhouse and liked the MLB tweets of what Tatis did with the one eye and the arm flail.
Maybe this will help get away from beaning guys for new age stuff. That was so damn fun to watch their battles. He lost to Tatis but threw a Manny 15 straight sliders and won against him...and won overall.
Ohtani is 2nd in the AL in HR and 3rd in the # of 100mph pitches thrown
Freddie Freeman 4-4 and Anthony Rizzo pitching the 7th jut struck him out....Rizzo then goes back to 1st base

That’s awesome.
San Fran put up 10 in the first inning at Colorado. That doesn't happen every day. Imagine being a Rockies fan attending that game, only to watch your team get utterly buried in the top of the first!
Pujols designated for assignment.
5th in HR, 5th in doubles, 2nd in RBI, 5th in extra base hits
I think White Sox add him

Where would he play?
I wouldn’t rule out the Tribe. But ultimately think he retires.
Tribe rental?
Yankees Gleyber Torres scores from first base on an infield single. Live by the shift, die by the shift. The Assholestros still won.
Tony La Russa and his nonsense makes me hate baseball.

What'd he do?

I know, that is SO stupid, IMO.

I don’t think the article mentions LaRussa, but he is angry with his player and wants to punish him.
Here’s the at bat. That 3-0 pitch looked like it would have been a strike.
LaRussa is not wrong that there were going to be guys getting thrown at, so I think pulling him aside and saying you or your teammates are gonna get drilled now is fine. But do it on private and stick up for your guys.
On the flip side, the whole not swinging at those pitches is just ridiculous and needs to go away.
Both things can, and are, true. But bottom line is the manager needs to stick up for his team, not call them out. Then double down. Then triple down. And if I read correctly today, it’s a quadruple down now.
^^^ I was thinking that, too. Whatever happened to handling things behind closed doors, and not publicly throwing your players under the bus?
Tony's an old drunk, so there's that.
