Haven’t read the whole Klemko story on AB. But another incident — this time with an artist (he stood behind her naked with a hand towel covering his junk while she painted).

And I guess a whole bunch of other buzzard incidents. From police interactions, to not paying people for service and more.

I don’t think this guy is long for the league at this rate.

Welp 🤷🏻‍♂️

Meh, if anything, it'll be a great chance to see if Rudolph is the guy going forward or if they'll need to be looking towards the draft to get Ben's actual replacement. Dude is 37 and showing a definite regression (last couple years have seen a transition from "clutch 4th quarter Ben" to "WTF was that pick?!?!?" Ben. I didn't have the highest of expectations coming into the year, with most of any optimism I had coming from how I didn't think anyone in the division would be all that good (ie: 10-6 would be good enough to win it) and whoever did make the playoffs would likely be fodder for KC or NE, so sure, work the young guy and hopefully he can provide competence and a spark and, at worst, this is a transition year where they know what they need to do in order to not fall off a cliff in the future due to not being prepared when aging, declining QB falls off the map production-wise and/or retires.

Guess they’re not worried about a qb replacement... kinda weird

No shit. If Rudolph doesn't pan out they could have a pretty high draft pick in 2020 and need that pick for a QB.

Only took 2 games for Eli to be benched.

Works for me, being that the secondary is kind of trash and really needed an upgrade.

I have no illusions of the Jets beating the Pats this weekend, but I really hope they can put some big hits on Brady.

Pretty sure this is the same ref who blew the PI call in the Saints/Rams playoff game...

I heard about this and again this morning NFL radio was discussing Bradley Chubb's hit on Trubisky the other night, how he didn't drive him into the ground, it wasn't late or dirty, etc. Just call it what it is. They don't want QB's getting hit and hurt, even if it is clean hits. Imagine if Mahomes got hurt this weekend from a hit and had to miss significant time. They might just start making QBs wear flags and don't you dare touch them.

Keeping the elite QB's upright is good for the game...regardless of people saying "flag football." Serious question, does anyone want to see consistent Gardner Minshew vs Case Keenum matchups, week in and week out? I know it seems like the game has been wussified but great QB's get viewers and fans in the seats.

I agree with you. My point was let's stop wasting time trying to explain why clean hits are being called foul and just call it what it is. You're right, no one wants to see Matt Barkley, Hoyer, Henne, Gabbert, etc. Minshew and a few others I'd give a pass to because we don't know that they for sure suck yet.

Pats release AB after the report of him sending threatening texts to his latest accuser.

I think this guy has serious mental issues, bipolar and whatever other personality disorder.  Some people think it's CTE, but he's pretty young to be having that and only really got his bell rung that one time by Burfict.

But this latest is as bizarrre as everything else.  She wasn't suing him (so she claims), but he's telling his lackeys to investigate her for dirt.  Is he that paranoid, or was he being proactive on the blowback because he really did it?  But, you know, couldn't happen to a nicer guy.  Copying her on that text to check her background - that's pretty scary considering what an obvious lowlife AB is.

Maybe the XFL will welcome him with open arms.  Gotta believe the league is giving him a big timeout, because if NE didn't cut him last week after everything else then this probably isn't the end of it.

And I imagine what if Mayfield got hurt and had to miss significant time. Us Browns fans have suffered for so long and if something bad happened to him.....I don’t even know what to compare it to. Maybe Trumps win and the sjw reaction?

So I’m way ok with protecting the qb. They are, after all, pretty much the main guys for their team and it’s a business.

Protecting the QBs is great. The no going low, Kar hit enforcement, hit to head, etc. The problem becomes when you get flagged when the hit was completely within the rules. The rules were changed to protect the QB, and that’s good. The rules should not be enforced incorrectly to protect the same QBs.

Ravens went for 2 with the score 30-19... didn’t get it. What a stupid call.
