Going for the Nats becuz they wuz the Expos . Mack Jones was one of my faves because he hit a HR in the pool behind Jerry Park when the Expos came into the league against the Reds. got his autograph at Crosley Field in 1969. Also got the autograph of some guy named Pete Rose and Tony Perez who was my all time favorite baseball player and when the Reds traded him  I became an Indians fan only much to the delight of my parents.

Soto with way too much adrenaline trying to gun down the first run of the game at home in the 2nd!

Nats get the first 2 on in the 2nd on singles, but then a K and a DP ends the inning and Greinkie gets to face the P to start the 3rd.

I find it funny that they fire the guy who supported the wife beater but are keeping the wife beater on the team 😂

Osuna hasn’t had any issues since being on the team. The AGM had a cush job and then acts like he’s 14 shoving it in the women’s faces. Osuna, while maybe never should’ve been signed hasn’t done anything to be released

What a catch by Robles but Nats can’t get anything going offensively

Loving that the Nats are inching closer to a title while Harper sits at home. Plus I hate the Astros.

May have spoken too s

Cole's displeasure expressed on a 3-2 pitch ball call to the previous batter was enough to sway the ump to call strike 3 on Robles to get Cole out of the 7th  inning on another 3-2 pitch that was clearly out of the strike zone!

This HP ump needs replaced! He cannot handle this game. Gave Cole calls while first 3 innings and didn’t call it for Ross and it affected game. In 7th Cole throws a hissy fit like he has since the 4th on not getting the call....then on full count with runner on he calls strike 3 on the pitch 3 inches off the plate.

Awful.

Now going to give Nats calls but it’s too late

Bring on the robots to properly reward hitters that are good judges of the strike zone and is fair to pitchers!

The hardest thing to do in sports is hit a baseball.  And it is obvious that it is too hard for umps to judge a high percentage of close pitches correctly.  Technology is available to do much better and it won't be biased at all by players proficient in swaying the umps by framing, bellyaching and such.  Just get the robot call and go to the next pitch in the fairest manner possible!  More time will be available to appreciate the skills of hitters and pitchers which will be brought more to light with fairer calls.

He gave that strike 3 as a make up call for Cole who acted like a petulant child and complained all night from 4th-7th innings even though he got several calls more than Ross and Ross actually got hosed and cost 2 runs.

Now wondering if there's ever been a WS go 7 without the home team winning a game?

In other news, two women who flashed from behind the plate last night have been banned from MLB.

That's a bit tone deaf. Game needs to find ways to RAISE rating and titties are as good a way to draw casual interest as anything else!
