Thanks for googling that for me.

I did not google. Used Just Watch app. Which is the greatest app for tv/movie fanatics like me.

I can't just go around giving every movie an 8... that's elite status!

Never seen it. Is it available for free streaming?

I don't believe so, just rented it as I was bored yesterday. Saw it in the theatres when it came out. If you are a true baseball "purest" there are VERY emotional moments to get choked up on.

It was made in 1999 I believe, stars Costner.

It tells basically his life through his memories while he is pitching a single game.

My favorite part of the WHOLE movie, is below. He is so wrapped up in the memories of his life, that he hasn't paid that close attention to the game he is currently pitching.

Amazing movie and it REALLY doesn't get the credit it deserves.

Agreed, the older that movie gets the more realistic is has become.

I mean look at the current President vs say, most of the last 6 or 7 POTUS's. Look at who the Ds are trying to replace him with, someone with obvious dementia.

This is not to turn this threat political as I am saying both sides suck. But every single democrat (or republican 4 years ago) that was running and could rub 2 brain cells together, "we" ran them off and are putting up completely ignorant of reality candidates. I am using the actual definition of ignorant there, not "stupid".

Take this trend out 30-40 years and good Lord, a dumb person now would be smarter than the people running everything.

Saw My Spy yesterday.  I saw the reviews so far, and they're not good, but I've been enjoying Dave Bautista in things, so I figured I'd give it a whirl.  Not that bad.  Campy and formulaic, but still entertaining.

6.5/10

Not going to rate them, but 2019 was an incredible year for movies and here is my top 5:

1) Parasite, and it’s not even close

2) The King

3) 1917

4) jojo rabbit

5) joker

Movies people liked that I didn’t:

the farewell

Knives out (I fucking hated this movie)

other than those two, didn’t dislike much else. Once upon a time, marriage story, and the report just missed my top 5

Never heard of it.

on Netflix, highly recommend. Not sure if you’re into medieval war flicks, but it’s about King henry V with a pretty decent cast: timothee chamalet (dumb name, good actor), Robert Pattinson, and Joel edgerton. Brad Pitt was involved quite a bit, I believe as a producer.

i fricken loved it

The female lead is Johnny Depp’s daughter. She’s great in it.
