Is this place themed after Casablanca?
No.

I could use the same; will be there mid-March; thanks!
posted by Fab4RunnerI really enjoyed the Grand Canyon and Vegas. Brunch at Wicked Spoon and dinner at Craftsteak were excellent. Backstreet Boys were phenomenal.
Next up, Charleston in 3 weeks.
I love Vegas. Was there for Super Bowl and did Momofuku and Eggslut. Both are in Cosmo, and we stayed across from there. Momofuku and Majordomo (LA) are the two best meals I’ve had in a long time. Both David Chang restaurants.
Trying to strongarm my way back to Vegas in Mid-March for the MW Conference Tournament. It’s either there or DC for A-10.

Yeah we walked through the Cosmo since Wicked Spoon is there and I saw both of those. There were so many places I wanted to try, but so little time. We stayed at the Flamingo, which I actually really enjoyed. We had a recently renovated room with a good view, and I loved the mid-strip location. Also: cheap. I have friends who have been to Vegas many times (they were there with us this time, too) and it's their fave, as well.
We went to Fremont Street twice, which was super fun.
I definitely loved it and we're thinking about heading back in October for a Saturday-Tuesday trip.
Haven't gone on our annual ski/snowboard man trip in 2 years and my group is salty. So we aren't fucking around for next year.
Just booked for next February this baller ski in/ski out house at Steamboat for a great price.

Anyone have any recommendations for where to stay in NYC? I’m plannjng on going Friday-Monday in November when the buckeyes play at Rutgers. Was looking at Marriotts and they’re like $275 a night. Not trying to drop that on a Marriott.

Airbnb in Jersey City.

I’ll look into that thanks

You can also look at Secaucus. My sister and brother in law used to live there. It's about a 30 minute bus ride into the city, or you could go to the train station and take the NJ transit in, which is only a 5 minute ride. There's obviously Hoboken too if you haven't looked into that.
Haven’t looked at NJ at all. I gave up on hotels because they’re mostly wanting $200+ a night and most of the air bnbs are going for $300-450 total.
I found a place in Brooklyn that looks nice. Looks like the Bedford/Stuyvesant neighborhood. $325 total for 3 nights and a block from the subway. Might pull the trigger on that unless I find a sweet place in jersey city or Hoboken.

That's a pretty good rate. I am not sure you're going to find anything better than that in NYC. I was suggesting NJ, because I thought NYC banned all airbnbs. We luckily normally have friends to crash at their place, but my wife did stay in an airbnb in jersey city for her bacherlorette and it was pretty convenient. It was right by the train station and took them directly to penn station.
I went to the Rutgers game two years ago. I lived in BK, but we got an Air BnB in Chinatown because I had a group visiting and we wanted to cut down on travel time back (it was a night game).
It was still a disaster. I'd stay in Hoboken, Jersey City, or Newport.
Also, Rutgers game atmosphere is awful.

Haha oh I know. I worked at Rutgers for a year. It’s terrible.
My wife is a Chicagoan through and through and naturally has this “mehhh” attitude towards nyc. She’s never been. I was able to get her go-ahead on this trip because of the OSU game-since she’s a diehard osu fan. Plus it’ll be fun to go back to New Brunswick and see all my old shitty memories.
That’s good to know though about heading back to the city being such a nightmare. Guess I’ll just have to be prepared for that. Nothing else I can do
Assuming it's a day game so I doubt it will be as bad. We got there in the afternoon to check out the campus and pregame, got bombed, stayed the entire game. I think the last few trains back were an hour apart and they will were packed. We rolled into Penn Station at 2am then had to subway. Not fun.
