Makes me sad
2 egg salad sandwiches and the rest beer
The Masters should be going on this week. While this whole ordeal could give us a unique opportunity to see a Masters tournament in the fall, it still sucks that it's not happening now.
The Masters is pretty famous for its cheap food menu. You've got $20 to spend for the day over breakfast and lunch. What do you order?

I don't eat breakfast. I'd probably go with a turkey sandwich, chips, cookie and water for lunch. Then I'd buy peanuts and 3 beers throughout the day.
I'm going with a coffee, chicken biscuit, and sausage biscuit for breakfast ($4.50).
Lunch will be an egg salad and 2 pimento cheese sandwiches, chips, 2 domestics, and a bottle of water ($15.50).
Sausage biscuit and iced tea in the am
Pimento cheese sandwich and water at lunch
BBQ and a beer as the evening shadows creep onto the 15th green
Blueberry Muffin for breakfast, 1 egg salad, 1 pimento, 4 beers
Blueberry muffin
Chicken sandwich/chips
2 bottles of water
snack peanuts/crackers
Just $10 spent....maybe a cookie for $11.50 total

This doesn’t really work at Augusta, unless you plan on wasting your ticket and not showing up to the grounds until way late in morning. You want to get there early, and lunch isn’t served until like 10:30am, so you basically starve lol.
I can just list what I had last year.
I actually had 2 BBQ sandwiches for lunch, but in this budget, I’d skip the second one. Man are they efficient down there also. I found the beer was a huge waste of money, so I’d actually probably get another sandwich and snack instead, or 2 smaller sandwiches.
Unless you have multiple days, you just want to walk around and see it all. The beer was a hindrance to that and I didn’t want to wait in the line (albeit fast) for multiple to get any kind of buzz. I also was there Saturday when Tiger made his afternoon charge, so wasn’t going to miss any of that. I think the play would be to get a nice quick buzz before lunch and ride it out, if you wanted to go that route. I just wanted to soak it all in.

No, I mean I literally do not eat breakfast on a daily basis. I eat lunch at 1p every day and dinner between 6:30-7:30p. Those are my meals. Eating something at 10:30 would be very early for me, and I don't think I'd be starving.
Coffee and 2 sausage biscuits for breakfast. (4.50)
Ham & Cheese,Pimento cheese,chips,peanuts,2 bottles of water and 1 domestic beer for lunch. (14.00).
$1.50 left for a cookie for a snack
The only time I've been to Augusta was for a Tuesday practice round. I'd do that again anytime. I bought a badge on the street for $75. It was a great opportunity to see the course with way less crowding at any one spot like on tournament days. Plus the vibe was very relaxed with players talking to spectators and pictures allowed. It was a great experience to see the course in person. Once the tournament starts, I'd much rather watch on TV in order to see all of the action when it happens.
I'd go to a practice round again anytime though.
Funny aside...
I have a buddy who is a lifelong golf nut. He's been nuts about the Masters ever since we were in grade school. He plays all the time and loves the sport as much as anyone could He got married in the early 1990s and one of the things he was excited about was the fact that his wife had an aunt and uncle with no kids who had 4 passes to the tournament every year. My buddy's wife was very close to her aunt and uncle and the uncle would sometimes say to my friend, "these will be yours when we're gone.
Flash forward a few years and the uncle dies. A few days after his funeral, my friend and his wife were visiting the aunt and she happened to say, "Well, one of the things I did after he died was to call the Masters and tell them I don't want those tickets anymore. I always hated going and never liked golf. I'm glad I don't have to worry about those anymore."
For those who may not know, Masters tickets are very, very difficult to come by. They are "sold out" forever. Plus if you have them, you can pass them along to your heirs like property. Even if you hated golf with every fiber of your being, you could sell them every year for thousands of dollars in profit.
So every year during the Masters, I make sure to call my friend and while imitating his aunt-in-law's voice say, "I'm just so relieved I don't have to handle those stupid Masters badges anymore.
I figure he's lost out on almost 30 years of tournaments or over $100,000 in profit from her decision.

I’m the same. But I don’t wake up until 8am, so it’s doable. I was starving by 9, because we had to wake up at 5:30 to get in the gates when they opened at 8.
I will admit that the lack of sports has gotten annoying enough that I'd actually be desperate enough to have golf on the TV by now. That's...kind of depressing...
The only time I’ve been to Augusta I got put in a threesome to make four. Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and a young Tiger Woods. It was pretty cool but Nicklaus sunk a 9 foot putt on 18 to beat me by 1 (73 to 74). Arnold was 81 years old so it got boring a bit as he took a while to shoot his 83. Tiger was so damn cocky...”ooh I out drove everyone again, was that an eagle?, I up again on the tee? you guys see that spin off my wedge to 3 inches away? Fucker acted like he shot a 61 and his 64 didn’t really impress me that much. He had better equipment so that gave him an advantage. Arnie was cool and treated us to dinner and beverages.

If you're looking for excitement that's at least on the level of watching golf on TV, I did notice today that those ads we weren't seeing on pages a few days ago have reappeared!
If I won the masters lottery I’d aggressively rub it in everyone’s face, so the humblebrag is definitely warranted.
