I love You Betcha, didn’t know there was a variant. Definitely sounds like it would be awesome.

Cool BFFs
Having lunch at a small brewpub in Ely, MN currently. Their IPA is very good. Will probably try the ESB next. Only 7 on tap but so far so good.
ESB is also quite tasty.
posted by sportchamppsI missed out on Dragonsaddle tickets this weekend bc I totally forgot
I missed out on the VIP tickets for Friday. They sold out in 30 seconds. I had the ticket in my cart and by the time I checked out, too late.
I did get a ticket for the drive thru on Saturday. I have the earliest slot, so I'm hoping they have crowlers of the double frooted stuff left. My (3) 4-packs are guarenteed. And I'm going to get one each of the 2-packs of the BBA stuff.

Nice. The crowlers sound great and that’s what I was most hoping to get. Oh well hopefully with tickets being free some people don’t show up and there will be extra Saddle

Looked it up on Untappd, seems like standard NE IPA. What was interesting?
450 North and their 2% fruit beers that they mislabel
Derive Brewing is taking over SIP spot in UA it sounds like. They have some highly rated NE IPAs on Untappd going to be worth tryibg

posted by sportchamppsIf you or your wife like sours or really good fruited beers also pick up bottles of New Glaus Serendipity, Strawberry Rhubarb, Raspberry Tart, and Wisconsin Belgium Red. Those are all top notch beers for their style.
For Minnesota Surly makes some good stouts and IPAs. Axe man from them is probably my favorite I have tried.
Picked up a 4-pack of Belgian Red and Strawberry Rhubarb. Belgian Red is outstanding, Strawberry Rhubarb is very good. Thanks for the tip.

Glad to hear you liked them.
gerb, still want some Spotted Cow? I can get as many as 6 cans into your hands tomorrow if you can meet me in the Newark area.
Anyone know of any good beer that is easy to find in Michigan but hard to find in Ohio? My wife is in South Haven with friends for the weekend and asked if I wanted her to pick anything up.
I’m sampling some Rhinegeist Franz (Oktoberfest). It has less of a pumpkin bite than Great Lakes and I like that.
Picked up a crowler of some mango hazy IPA from Dankhouse since I was in Newark for a bit today. I haven't cracked it open but the taster I had was pretty good.

Shit I didn’t see this until now. We were in South Haven last year. There’s a couple of breweries there but nothing I remember as memorable. However, Holland is right up the road and that’s where New Holland (Dragons milk) is. You can some of their stuff here but you should check out what they have going right now and see if she can find it up there.
Also in South Haven there’s this little farmers market on the main drag called Bardens. They have a decent beer selection there.

Missed this last night and she's already left. Three Blondes and Harbor Light are the only breweries I recall from our trip last summer, and only because she said they went to both breweries. Three Blondes wasn't very good when we went last year, but she said it was a lot better this time around.
We might end up going back up that way for Thanksgiving weekend since her family is more-or-less cancelling our normal holiday routine. I was planning on running to Grilla Grills in Holland if they're open, so we would definitely check out New Holland Brewing.
