I'm bored and needed a new dev project so I'm rewriting this place

This site was built with an old version of a framework called Laravel. I haven't coded in the framework in a few years and wanted to get back into it. So over the next couple months or so I plan to rewrite Ohio Chatter to relearn the framework.


Any new code I push automatically gets deployed and can be seen at the following address:

http://137.184.221.38/

I'm mostly working out layout stuff right now, the only thing you can really do is login/logout and view threads.

Please let me know how much you hate it. Thanks.

I'll eventually move it to something like dev.ohiochatter.com or something but I'm lazy at the moment.

I'll also say I haven't looked at it at all on a phone. So it may look horrible right now.

It does indeed look bad on a phone right now. I'll work on that next.

The layout is messed up on the thread view, it has the user info and post next to each other instead of stacked.

There are some spacing issues on the thread list view as well.

You've definitely logged in on here since 2017 when this version launched. You might not have had to login in a long time if you always use the same browsers on the same devices.

Things fit a lot better on mobile when I don't show post count, rep score, and join date because honestly who cares. This is a lot cleaner.

Post count has been frozen for 5 or so years I feel
