Found another little bug from the Latest Post link. This thread was showing a 6th page but there were only 5 pages so it took me to a blank page. I think I might know why that's happening.

The more I click around, the more I am realizing this is much faster. Its all relative -- the old site loaded perfectly fine, though not breakneck. This new site is closer to breakceck.

I'm trying to make it as instant as possible. Loading a thread takes almost no time. Loading the thread listing is still a little slower than I would like, but still fast. I do have some ideas that should help shave some time off.

Ha. I just came to post that here. Saying it was breakneck speed for individual pages, but the main page with all threads is still a bit slow (faster than before, and its all relative...its usually under 3 seconds for me still). 

I also really like the new EDIT button (and subsequent Delete/Save/Cancel).

Yeah, I much prefer the new version of this functionality.

I still want to know why you did this to us. This feels like New Coke or Jefferson Starship or Little House, A New Beginning. It's very hard for some of us to handle change.

Thanks a fuckin lot. While admiring your site’s recent improvements on both appearance and speed, I noticed the archive link at the bottom of the page. 

5 hours and 3 joints later, I came out of the rabbit hole and realized that I had a life to live and the waste of time is totally your fault. As I was laughing barely controlled my wife came in and checked on me to make sure I was alright. I laughed a lot, cried a little and want to thank you for a major source of entertainment for a minor league site.

Glad to give you some entertainment with the archive. It's definitely in a major beta mode right now, but I plan to make it better over the next couple months.

How about sharing some of those stories you found?

I didn’t realize you brought back the old threads. Very good work. 

The archive currently looks like shit on a phone. My first task will be to format that a little better.  It looks alright on a big screen. 

Just did about 30 minutes worth of updates using Claude (AI) and got the archive in a much better state. Colors are off a bit, and there are a few other things I want to tweak, but it should be much easier to get around than it was yesterday.

Ok so I know exactly why the twitter embed when you paste a link doesn't work anymore.

The Trumbowyg pasteembed plugin doesn't work with https://t.co/WU5asyfWW6 links. If you manually update a link to use twitter dot com before pasting it will embed. It uses noembed, which hasn't been updated in 7 years. It seems I'm the only person with this issue.
