You are a newly made billionaire....how are you going to use you endless funds to help people?

I just watched Anthony Davis on FB surprise a family in need for Christmas and finished it off with a new car for them...pretty awesome scene and had to be a great feeling. I would definitely do some stuff like that as I deemed necessary.

I would definitely do some Make A Wish type things for the very sick kids and also some cancer ridden adults.

I would also help out local youth by building state of the art complexes for virtually every sport but also music, arts and technology.

it would be fun to be creative on all the things you could do.

I'd Scrooge McDuck that fortune.

If we had that kind of fortune I know my wife would be giving vast amounts to dog rescue organizations. I'd setup scholarships (for college, trade schools, etc) for kids that come from single parent homes. I'd put a lot of money into cancer research. I'd spend a lot of money backing actual small government political candidates. I'd do a lot of secret santa type stuff for families in need around the holidays.

Not convinced my insane funds could help cancer research....so I just going to help the families being ruined by cancer

Plant entrepreneur training centers in major cities across the country, specifically geared toward kids in the inner parts of those cities.

Charity and medical research.   Helping out specific individuals is like being a free lottery, and actually seems kind of selfish (if not wasteful).  I'm not giving money to chosen hard-luck cases, but maybe a fund to help groups (and then try to raise additional charitable donations to support the cause).  In other words, why help just 1 person when that money can seed an organization that could help 10 people?

Family and friends, otherwise no handouts.  Maybe some local community stuff, like a playground or youth center.

I bet my billion that in this scenario we’d all waste some money anyways. How do you know the medical research isn’t wasting money?

I'd spend half on blow and hookers.  I'd probably  just waste the rest.

Seriously though, I'd try to do things that lasted long after I'm gone.   Build job training centers in my hometown so they would have a tax base and could improve the schools.   I would give a lot of scholarships with strings attached (no gender studies.)

Depending on how much money,  I would try to buy the Bengals and run them like an NFL team.

Your schools track team would be horrible, if you're the coach.

Hope this helps.

I would go to a big town and dress as a homeless person.  I would give $100,000 in cash to people that was nice to me.

Sure.  Any of that.  Just to see their reactions.

It's the potential ROI.  I give money to 1 person, I help one person.  I fund good research then I benefit tens of thousands.  And, hell, my equity stake means I make money and get to do it all over again.  The former is burning money, the latter is investing.

I think I'd build an affordable housing development (houses, condos, apartments, etc.) for those that are just getting on their feet. It could be for recent college grads entering the workforce, military veterans getting back on feet, single parents, etc.

I've been fortunate to have people take me into their house. We've tried to do the same. It's just challenging to find affordable housing to get going for people trying to get going in life.

I'd open a massive no kill shelter with an enormous "catatarium" with huge windows, cat trees, etc. There would also be an indoor dog walking track and a Chucky Cheese-like ball pit for the dogs to play in. :D
