That’s not at all what I’m saying.

Why? He’s doing what he’s technically allowed to do and following the rules. Yeah I understand others haven’t been as careful which is why we need DeWine to figure out how to enforce the rules. But If you’ve went out and worn a mask, distanced, washed hands, etc. then I don’t think you’re in the wrong to complain. Why should you be punished for following the rules when others didn’t, but could have been made to?

Just Because Ohio “lets you” go into a bar like nothing is different doesn’t mean you should. That’s why you’re getting another shutdown.

I mean, is it that difficult to see that allowing everyone to go “business as usual” was a bad choice? Literally every state that did that is considering another shutdown.

If you regularly went to bars/restaurants like there wasn’t a pandemic, you have absolutely no right to bitch about another shutdown because they can’t seem to drop their cases. You didn’t do anything “wrong” by law, but you absolutely are the root of why there’s going to be another shutdown. So yes, it’s very ironic to be bitching about the shutdown while sitting inside a bar.

lol the "shtick" thing struck a nerve I see.  The irony of you telling everyone here that they get their panties in a bunch, because you disagree with them, but on the other side you get your panties in a bunch, because somebody picks apart your logic....  Coming in hot and calling everyone a moron does not make your argument stronger, sorry to break it to you.

Anyway, based on your example you have gone to bars/etc based on what the Illinois allows you.  Justin and everyone else is doing the same thing based on what Ohio allows them.  What it comes down to is you "feel" safer and believe the procedures in Illinois is better, and thus you're allowed to go to a bar and complain about another shutdown, but Justin it not.

Didn’t read your post. You’re terrible to get into an argument with, so I’m done responding to you.

They didn't just relax the restrictions and everyone is business as usual. Most of these places have restrictions still.

The Tim Hortons near me is still drive-thru only. Skyline has every other table closed. Chipotle is carry out only.

Ohio isn't the wild west like you're making it out to be.

Justin is going to bars, breweries, restaurants. If there is a government shutdown, he would look silly bitching about it.

I have not gone to bars, restaurants, breweries, except what’s allowed by my state which is patio seating and you must wear a mask when not sitting at your table.

Btw, what order am I not following? Please tell me the state mandate that I am not following. Is it because of my comment that IF they defy a new shutdown I'd continue to go? Because that's not something that's actually happened.

Herd immunity will be the only endgame here

What is the threshold for herd immunity for Covid? I've read 70%. That's over 200 million people. Can our healthcare system handle that many sick people? They also don't know how long antibodies last.

Until we know, we could wear masks. Very difficult, I know.

Got it. Going to a bar one night a week means I'm responsible for another shutdown.

Unless your name is S&L and you bow down to your state government and support everything they do.  Then you are not responsible, and you are allowed to complain.  You're definitely not a hypocrite at all with this logic.

Ahh yes there it is lol. My state is following science, and giving advice on how to stop the spread. I’m following that (and many others are too). And I’m just a big ol government guy! You libertarians crack me up

It was never business as usual. Literally every time DeWine had a press conference he reminded us of that. We have the same rules and guidelines, there’s just no one enforcing it. You even said yourself a few days ago why do people in Ohio have such a problem wearing a mask?

Are we even for sure it’s bars and restaurants that are the problem? From my experience - and I think I would know - the common problem has been large family functions and parties. I’ve talked with several COVID patients who were at graduation parties or family events and, whoops, turns out someone there was actually positive.

If S&L started this whole debate with "Illinois is doing a lot better than Ohio, because blah blah blah," then this whole thing would haven taken a different path.  Instead he wanted to be pompous and try to shame/ridicule justin and now he is stuck continuously moving the goal posts.   That's the problem with the "middle man, but not really" schtick.

I am willing to bet S&L does not have any clue what is going on in Ohio outside of a few anecdotal examples, yet he gives Illinois a 99.9% compliance rate and apparently Ohio is Somalia.

Moreso meant the people of Ohio are taking it as business as usual. Not everyone. But a lot. I mean I saw it with my own two eyes, this restaurant was packed and everyone was sitting inside and sitting at the bar, no masks, or anything.

Maybe Dewine isn’t saying business as usual, but a lot of people are. And that’s gotta be contributing to the cases.

And yeah I’m sure the large family functions aren’t helping. And are probably just as big a factor as anything else.
