I've been getting the crazy ads, too. Just started yesterday or the day before.

Many of the platforms, fortunately, are aware of these problems and already explicitly ban this type of ad behavior. For example, the Google ad network prohibits, "pop-ups or interstitials that interfere with the user's ability to see the content requested [and] sites that disable or interfere with the browser's back button." But in practice, malicious redirects still sneak through.

This is the only ad network I'm using, and they explicitly prohibit these ads, though apparently they might still sneak through.

If anyone has any other monetization ideas, let me know.

What, specifically, is it doing that you wouldn't expect it to? Does it never work, or only some of the time? It works for me 99% of the time.

It's weird.  Now it is working.  But yesterday, it would take me to first post of thread.

Were you logged in? If you're not logged in, it will take you to the first post. Or, was it a thread you were viewing for the first time? Because it takes you to the last post since you've viewed the thread. If you haven't viewed it, the last post would be the first post.

My guess is you weren't actually on the button when you clicked. If you're off by a pixel, it takes you to the first page, as it's like you're clicking on the thread title.

Troubleshooting... If I normal click "Last Post," it takes me to first post of thread.  If I Command + Click "Last Post," it takes me to last unread post.
