Interesting. It took me to the top of the last page on this thread, but the golf thread, for example, it scrolled me to the last post on the page.
Just tested the Fears thread, took me to the last post on the page as it should.
Last movie thread worked as expected.
What browser and OS are you using?

This thread is now working as expected for me.

Safari on iPhone. And I’ve cleared my data/history twice since it started. Which, of course, I have to log in after coming back to the site.
It does it on subscribed and non-subscribed threads.
Also, I have the “all threads” page as an icon on my home screen. And before yesterday whenever I would open it, my browser would open the page in the same tab as I previously had it open in; unless the previous tab was NOT on the all threads page. Now, it always opens a new tab when I tap the home screen icon.
That night just be a phone thing though. Even though I haven’t changed any settings or anything.
Safari on iPhone is going to be hard for me to debug, but I can at least test safari on a Mac. I don't understand why that wouldn't work though, it's such a simple piece of functionality that all browsers should operate the same way. Can you copy-paste the url of a thread that doesn't work for you? Just curious what the hash is at the end (it would be #XXXX, which is the id of the post it is supposed to scroll to).

Stop doing this, it isn't going to fix this issue for you.

Interesting, the browser is stripping off the hash, which is the sole driver of that functionality. The link should be something like this: https://ohiochatter.com/forum/serious-business/the-golf-thread?page=3#reply-26972
Can you check to see the last time safari updated? If this just started happening, I'm guessing apple pushed an update recently that fucked it all up.
I’m not really sure that is an option on iPhone. But I’m running 11.4, I haven’t updated to 11.4.1 yet.
FWIW, I do remember seeing the # previously.
It is doing the same thing on my iPad, which is running 11.4 also. So I’m not too surprised.

Apps can update independent of the OS, can they not? I can look at individual apps on the google play store and see the last time they were updated, I would imagine it's the same on iphone.
All that said, I might have found a fix specifically for safari because it's stupid and can't work like all other browsers. Give me a minute.

Safari isn’t an independent app technically. It’s part of iOS. It only updates when iOS updates.
Nope, that fix ain't working.
