It's well documented that he partied his ass off in the past, taking all the things.
I also liked Anthony Bourdain's show. It was one of the few on TV that I really enjoyed. Damn.
He had some demons.
posted by SportsAndLadyPretty sure he’s a recovering drug addict. Heroin and all. Thought I read he’s been clean for a while, but has been battling depression.
Mental illness is a fucking bitch. My fiancé is a therapist in that field. The shit she deals with is insane. It’s a national epidemic that we don’t really acknowledge.
I agree with this fully. Mental health should be regarded in the same way we see heart health,.skeletal health, etc. The stigmas associated with it are maybe less than in the past, but they are still there.
I am a recovering alcoholic. Looking back, I can see my drinking was an effort to manage my mental health. The problem for me was that alcohol made depression and anxiety exponentially worse. I don't know if Bourdain was in that boat with booze or heroin, but it would not be surprising. I hope he finds peace for eternity.
I don't watch wrestling anymore but sucks to hear that Vader has passed away at 63. He was a great entertainer.

Yes. The fact that he could do a moonsault from the top rope always impressed me.
Charles Krauthammer ------- lost a great one.
Heather Locklear has apparently been hospitalized and released after a suicidal meltdown. Let's see if she can get herself turned around.
Sounds like Johnny Depp is circling the drain...but then, like Mick Jagger, he always is. But apparently he's nearly broke - after making $650M in movies!
The usual [likely] theft and incompetence from money managers. Still, allegedly spending $2M per MONTH seems like it would difficult. Think about that - even if you ridiculuosly overspent on housing for $1M (say, one of the most luxurious penthouse hotel suites in the world), you'd still have to blow $33k per day.

Had no idea he was only 77, he looked like he was ridden hard and put away wet. Love the show and thought he was hilarious.

I am surprised that a young guy would know that saying.

The abusive father, not the British singer.
Classic sci-fi author Harlan Ellison died today. That's a bummer; he wrote a lot of good stuff. If you haven't read anything by him, it should have been you instead.

Glad to hear that he was not stepping out into the night.
