I'm not even gonna pretend to give a shit about any of this until the numbers have been whittled down from Infinity to at least single digits and we're closing in on whenever the fuck Ohio's primary is because I have actual friends and hobbies, but here's some real information on this shit that I feel I will be able to use when the time is right.

Yeah, but then Booker went on and did the exact same dang thing later on.

I think Booker's side eye was more "oh crap, he took my thunder as I was going to do that later" or "oh crap, nice job now I have to do that later".

Didn't find that out until later.

After one of the most non-minority people in the room, the conspicuously good-looking white guy Beto, tries playing up his ability to connect with a minority group, there's no good way to follow that by doing the same thing without looking like a copycat.

If you've got a sneaking suspicion Trump is going to win in 2020, I implore you to spend election night at a bar typically full of liberals. Election night 2016 was a fantastic experience, watching grown adults melt down, openly crying, as results came in. It really made me feel good about myself. I bet the night at a redneck bar if Trump loses would be equally hilarious.

I'm not sure about during a debate, but speaking Spanish on the campaign trail is nothing new.

But like I said, I would love to see someone call them out on this - "What are trying to signal?  That Hispanic immigrants can't speak English, or don't want to learn?"

What do they do in Canada, which I think is one of the few countries that is officially bilingual?

It was fun for a while watching TDS, but I'm not sure I can tolerate 4 more years of not just Trump, but how the news cycle covers him.

Although if he gets re-elected, I think the meltdowns will be even worse.  So long as Repubs hold on to the Senate, I'm not remotely concerned with which clown is left standing.

Canada and Belgium are the only two countries that I can think of who are bilingual without looking it up lol

Millions of people on the social medias and youtube screaming from the proverbial rooftops that the dems can beat Trump if they don't go crazy. AND THEN LAST NIGHT HAPPENED.

If this is true, then it makes Biden kind of inevitable.  He's the only moderate with an actual shot of winning that primary.  Then I bet he chooses Warren or Harris as his VP.

I think Biden also stands to benefit from the loons splitting the far left voters.  Anyway, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a contested convention - after 2016, the shenanigans of choosing a candidate when no one comes close to the threshold should piss off a lot of Dem voters.

Campaign trail is a different animal, though.  Beto's doing it looked like shameless pandering last night, but he pretty much ruined it for everyone else who even wanted to try.

Tulsi Gabbard is moderate and she was most definitely the smartest person in the room last night.

She is the only one of the 20 dems I would vote for right now. If the election was tomorrow I would probably vote for Tulsi Gabbard. I disagree with a lot of her policies, but she would still have my vote. She is smart, understands foreign policy (specifically Mid East) better than anyone on either side, etc.

Yep.

I saw the clip where she was having to explain to Tim Ryan that he had no idea what he was talking about. And what he did know about what he was talking about was prolonging war.

It's kind of like when Hillary Clinton goes to a southern black church and changes her accent to sound like a southern black person. In other words they believe their voters are "simple" and will be impressed by this.

Don't forget the hot sauce!   And here I thought eating someone else's food was cultural appropriation!

Also, does Jim Beam, Jack Daniels and Johnny Bootlegger count as friends?

I'm in the same boat at you guys. Tulsi  isn't perfect, but she's the best of the bunch and I would vote for her if she got the nomination, BUT RUSSIA! be damned. Tulsi with a Republican Senate would be fine with me.

I wonder if they killed Gillibrand's mic....she started off interrupting everyone else and jumping into EVERY question and refused to shut up.  Came off completely desperate to be noticed.

Kamala is actually winning just by virtue of not looking like angry, drunk Santa Claus.

The 2016 republican primaries were cringey and so were the trump/hillary debates, but this shit is very cringey.  I don't know how dem voters (I am talking about the normal ones and not the bat shit crazy people) can watch this without being embarrassed for the democratic party.
