Well, he does blame some GOPers in Congress when they don't fall in line with the GOP president.

Doesn't he generally refer to them as RINOs or such, though, so we all know that because they disagree, they're not real Rs in his mind?

Sometimes, yeah.  I guess that's true.

 It's always the fault of:

1. Current Government.

2. Past Government.

3. Government.

4. Mass corruption that ALWAYS and ONLY is rooted in the Government.

5. redacted

6. Anything else that pops into his head.  (too much to list)

FIFY for my take.

So.... When the market is up, it's time to spit shine the Donald's little dickie that's stained orange from the Cheetos from his little fingered cock

When it is down........it's no big deal. It has nothing to do with Trump starting a trade war with China, Appointing a full bored war hawk that wasn't even qualified to serve under King W as a UN ambassador because yet another national security advisor quit, and his own Lawyer quits because he probably dosn't want to go to jail....

I guess that's reasonable

And yet, he himself is a RINO.

The irony.

When Donald says he wants to make America great again, when exactly is he referring to?

Funny how a man can go 70 years on this planet and not be called a racist......become president and it happens daily.

He's been a racist all of his life.  Started with his dad.  US DOJ in 1973 went to court against Trumps family business, about a rental agent being told by his father not to rent to blacks.  Also, look up "central park jogger" attack and what Trump said.  Tell me again how he's not a racist?

Hope this helps.

Couple things ...

First, Trump is an incompetent man-boy with the diplomacy skills of an inbred hillbilly humping a doorknob.  I'm as qualified to be President as he is.

Why mention all that?  Just in case you think I'm a Trump supporter.  I'm not.

However ...

This would be one of the rare cases I'll refrain from mocking Spock and actually agree with him in the Politics forum.  Spock didn't say he wasn't a racist before running for President.  He said nobody was calling him one.  That's pretty accurate.  People generally seemed to have a positive view of Trump.  Feel free to go back and look at the types of things written about him prior to ever actually getting involved in politics.  He was depicted as a generally good guy.

You can argue that he was never a good guy (I wouldn't try to bring up his dad's actions against him, since a parent's sins aren't held against the children), but you'd be hard-pressed to show that he was generally vilified before there was a political incentive to do so.

That's what the left does now - look at how the media portrayed Romney....from inventing outsourcing [lie], to ending more jobs than he created [lie], to Harry Reid lying about his tax returns from the Senate floor [where he had immunity from slander].

And it's a relatively new turn ushered in with identity politics, because I can't say I remember this with W even in 2004.

I remember it with Obama. The Barack HUSSEIN Obama comments usually tied in with how he was one of "them", the birthers, the anti-America preacher at his church and all that. Pretty much constantly being flung on the old Huddle. So it's not just the left doing it, although they might be improving upon the right's job of it.

GOP did that with Romney, too, when he came out as opposing Trump.

Also, compare how the GOP treated McCain in 2008 as opposed to how they're treating him now.

I agree with your preface of Trump. But I don't share Spock's dismay of him being called racist every day. I think that's just life in 2018. Police officers legitimately arresting blacks for crimes are called racist now. It's a lazy label spewed out the first chance anyone can. For example I think the Bennett brothers are race-baiting attention whores. According to Twitter, I'm subsequently racist.

IMO, whomever is president in 2020, 2024, etc.. will face new labels they aren't facing now. Politics is and has been increasingly vile and the "us vs them no compromise no mercy!" mentality demonstrates that nothing is off the table. I don't know if Trump is or isn't racist but in today's world it's easy to call him one and have it stick in certain populations.

You know how stupid this sounds?  People don't end up like their parents.  If that was the case, I would be a druggy loser deadbeat.

Yep.  But that's a staple of identity politics - you're racist, you're anti-science, you're a bigot, etc.....therefore your facts are wrong and your opinion is invalid, so this debate is over.  And it's a tactic mostly reserved for the left.

And, IMO, so will the next president and the president after that and so on. I don’t think it’s going away.

I didn't call it dismay.  Merely that Spock's point was accurate.

I didn't say you called it dismay. And I agree Spock is accurate but I'd imagine every president has been labeled something they are/aren't.

Probably, though I'd imagine few were as much of a household entertainment name as Trump prior to being in politics, which does put him in a small group (potentially Reagan, Jesse Ventura, and the Governator fitting that bill, as well).
